I just want to say that your drumming has inspired me! I am new to drumming myself and I constantly come back to this video because this is the kind of drumming I want to do! You sir are fracing MEGA METAL AWESOME!! \m/
I love how people start hating the moment they hear a triggered bassdrum. You still have to be very accurate, if not more accurate, to get your doublebass this tight. Nice job man, I envy you :)
wow, not the fastest most brutal ultra death drumming, but THIS is the kind of drumming I love the most and you have perfected it. ... ok, maybe only a slight exaggeration because nobody's "perfect" but no sarcasm intended
Thanks for all the cool comments. To answer your question, I use mostly sabian cymbals. I have recently changed my cymbal set up and it now includes some Zildjian and paiste. I use Yamaha maple custom absolute although this is a premier kit. Cheers and keep it brutal!
Through Mausoleum Records. Or most high street stores and this is off the forth coming CD released in Feb 2009 through the same label! Keeping it brutal!
Hey thanks for your comment, yes I do use triggers on this vid but not always, and personally I love the sound but it's all personal taste. Keep blasting!
@VarnaHC Wow, thank you my friend, very kind words and so nice to hear, thank you. I am glad that my passion and work has brought inspiration to you and your playing in some way, and I hope that it continues to. Thanks for your comment and for viewing.
Hey there Weird I was just watching a vid of you twodays ago, awesome man! Yeah the vid is a little ropey but this was when we had just finished the track. I was still writing to the song. But thanks for your comments and keep an eye out some new vids on their way soon! Ade
Hey there, I'm using a Premier Kit about 20 years old, a beauty! I now have a Yamamha Maple Custom Absolute (Amazing). Pedals Axis (bit over rated tho). Cheers for viewing!
Ade,you are a legend! You're still one of my top drummers.Cool song too. Also Click on kick drums sound good. They should be called Click Drums not kick drums.Teach me some stuff dude.
Hi there, I appreciate the comment, and it's constructive which I like. The triplets on here are quite out to be honest but it's because we were in the writting stage of the songs and I didn't really know ehre I was in the track. Thanks for veiwing and please check my other vids! Stay metal!
Thanks for all the cool comments. As for getting a kit, my friend this kit is half as old as I am, it's all about technique, don't worry about gear to much, Just drum bro, on anything and everything the skill will come.
Let start with the trigger itself. This attatches to the drum and has a sensor touching the drum head so when you hity it, it sends a signal to the module (brain). This then produce the desired sound you want, which gets sent to the amp, hey presto you have a triggered drum. Works the same as an electric drum but just with an acoustic...
Exactly! Even George Kollias suggests drummers who play fast double should be using triggers. I appreciate people who dont use triggers, i dont use triggers either, but all its really doing is improving the clarity of sound. I dont see anyting wrong with that.
Interestingly enough there are NO blast beats in this song? But yes some of the timing isn't concrete, it was a new song and I didn't really know where I was in the song or what I was playing. But normally a simple beat like that is no probs. Thanks for your comment and viewing anyway.
@NO11YOU Hey thanks for the comment. I'm playing both heels up throughout this track. If I can give you one peice of advice, thereis no right technique. There is only what is right for you. Play and feel what works for you, if it works stick with it, even if it is against the norm. Let your self express through your playing and try not to get to caught up in what should and shouldn't be. Keep rocking my friend!
@ploppypantsflipflop snare and bass drum don't collide together in the beginning, that shit gets on my nerves but thats just me. Triggers may bring that kind of stuff out more than a pure acoustic kit.
Not true, it depends on how you set the velocity of your triggers. If you set them so the slightest touch sets off a massive hit, then I agree with you. I set mine to to play as sensative as if I were playing just normally. Also I practised like yesterday with no triggers. Thanks for your comment though :-)
@RunsNGoses2008 Thanks for the question, no the rest of my kit is natural. I personally do not like triggered snare or toms, I do not feel the need. I only started using triggers at the time because I was on tour and had a serious knee injury and nereded to ease up on pounding my knee. I sometimes play without because personally you cannot beat natural drums. Bass drums sound good natural with a little trigger supporting the sound when playing fast. Hope this helps.
@atomsever Good comment. The triggers have a little latency and to be honest it was probably the second time we had ever played the track so IU was a little shaky and unsure. That being said, I like the mild flam it makes, it's what makes it organic and human. I ain't no machine and don't want to ever play like one. Thanks for your comment and please check out me other vids. Keep blastin!
Yes I can play the beat at 1:35 because I'm playing it on the video. But it isn't as loud as when I'm playing slower. Watch Lombardo with good conditioning you can play fast and powerful without triggers. My other band is slower and I prefer not to use triggers. I love both and they are just for clarity.
He said Triggers not double pedals? Triggers are small devices that are activated through the vibration of drum being hit and it transmits a signal to something called a module, or brain, which makes the drum sound like a certain noise or tuning or what have you. They aren't too expensive depending on the brand, anywhere from 15 to 50 dollars per trigger. I recommend Pintechs and pro ddrums.
Thanks again for the comments. Try both, it's ehat ever works for you. There is no perfect way, just the perfect way for you. So give it a try my friend and keep blasting!
@MrMasterindahouse The type of thrash we were wrting wasn't about groove is was about speed. If it was about groove it would of had groove. So thank for pointing that out, you're probably not into thrash then?
I don't normally play bare foot, in fact I'm wearing ankle socks! Not girly ones though! I agree shoes make life easier, but I do get slightly more feel with no shoes. Thanks for all the comment though, I really apreciate you viewing and commenting on my vids, thanks again. Check out my other vids too!
To the best of my knowledge, you can. But be sure that you can before you buy. Check with a good drum retailer first, try Wembley drum center or Drumwright. Thanks for your comments.
Hi again. I have both Lang DVD's and there is a lot that is good to learn from them. But you must accept that everyone learns differently and plays differently and what might be your goals to play may not be mine or other peoples. I raised my stool and played worse! But I always listen and try. Keep enjoying your drumming bud and always have fun!
yeah, I too have found that playing w/o shoes enables you to play a hellava lot faster...really cool!!! Also, you can buy special drumming shoes...cool eh?
your completely right. the use of triggers are a help for people who use two bass-drums. since, its _almost_ impossible to tune the two exactly the same. so by using triggers you get the same sound from both of the drums. thereby it doesent sound bad. So if you can get me one drummer, who uses dubble bass-drums and without triggers, ill give you a price.
'liquor' Drum triggers are very cheap, but the sound modules needed for them cost hundreds. there are two types electronic triggers basically an electrode taped down with a wire., and acoustic triggers a bit more expensive that trigger when it senses vibration from the skin.
My friend I'm not offended at all. As for Bostaph, he used triggers in Exodus but not in Forbidden or Slayer. My old band played the same bill as slayer and I watch him slay his kit with no triggers. As for sounds, I really love both. like a pair of breasts, natural is better. But for clarity triggers work. Thanks for your posts.
i like it alot, you're really good at going fast with the double pedals, only critique i'd say is that when you do things like 8th note triplets with them, you don't keep the consistency of the 3 notes within the beat, that will come with practice though. other then that good job man i like it alot.
I don't know about any of you, but thrash drumming just gets my blood pumpin and the adrenaline going. IT's a badass form.
i love the sound of the double bass..i loe when they emphasize the sound of the double pedal..my fav good job on video man...thumbs up
I just want to say that your drumming has inspired me!
Nice job man, I envy you :)
dude that drum set sounds SOOOOO good! holy cow!
Nice job! Love the sound of your bass drum.
The double bass kicks arse!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing dude
It is near completion now, we are looking at a May release on Mausoleum Records with Repka artwork too! So far it's sounding killer!!!
wow, not the fastest most brutal ultra death drumming, but THIS is the kind of drumming I love the most and you have perfected it. ... ok, maybe only a slight exaggeration because nobody's "perfect" but no sarcasm intended

@McCragge Thanks bro, glad that I have inspired you. Stay with it, practice hard, and most of all love what you do and love your instrument.
Did just that my friend. Wicked band, fast as hell drummer. Really good.
Hey there, I'm using a Premier Kit about 20 years old, a beauty! I now have a Yamamha Maple Custom Absolute (Amazing). Pedals Axis (bit over rated tho). Cheers for viewing!
dude your fucking awesome, I love to watch this all the Time
God damn your drumming is making me want to learn how to drum
Ade,you are a legend! You're still one of my top drummers.Cool song too. Also Click on kick drums sound good. They should be called Click Drums not kick drums.Teach me some stuff dude.
Premier APK Have had it for 18 years! It sounds brilliant recorded, live and at practise! Thanks for your comment

Stay metal!
@kohlllll Well said mate.I've started using triggers too.Nothing wrong with them, they just take a bit of getting used to.
Thanks for the comment bud. This kit is an old Premier APK had it for 18 years - it's my baby!!
Excellente technique! :O
and a great track!!
Thanks for all the cool comments.
As for getting a kit, my friend this kit is half as old as I am, it's all about technique, don't worry about gear to much, Just drum bro, on anything and everything the skill will come.
Simply, pure thrash metal my friend.
Thank you for all your comments.

@satyamdrummer Thank you for your comment, I am happy you liked it. One question, you say move my ride, who for... you or me?
Thanks again brother.
Exactly! Even George Kollias suggests drummers who play fast double should be using triggers. I appreciate people who dont use triggers, i dont use triggers either, but all its really doing is improving the clarity of sound. I dont see anyting wrong with that.
I really like your style!
This is my bigger kit and yes there is two bass drums. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks for your comment and viewing anyway.
I hear what your saying. It's because I'm playing the bass drum on the off and snare beats, makes it sound a little odd but I like it.
man i want too to be as good as him and also to have such a nice set of drums !!
Fine tuning and good mics.
Only I could I could think he's done it.
Badass, brutal, awesome, killing spree, godlike drumming!!!!!!!!!!111111111111

To the best of my knowledge, you can. But be sure that you can before you buy. Check with a good drum retailer first, try Wembley drum center or Drumwright. Thanks for your comments.
nice, great sound
Fair comment my friend, and I agree. Good drummers are rare, and thanks for putting me in that catagory. One question tho, what does JAKKDT mean?
Hi again. I have both Lang DVD's and there is a lot that is good to learn from them. Sounds like your doing the right thing, keep it up bro.
It will actually be finished in the next 2 weeks. So watch out for new vids on youtube!

yeah, I too have found that playing w/o shoes enables you to play a hellava lot faster...really cool!!! Also, you can buy special drumming shoes...cool eh?
Thought it was barely average until about 0:50. Really good job bro.

|m|
I think you're right, the thing in the rack looks like a drum modul ;)
Dude the band "No Dice" have a drummer that does like this exact drumming, hes really good also
My friend I'm not offended at all. As for Bostaph, he used triggers in Exodus but not in Forbidden or Slayer. My old band played the same bill as slayer and I watch him slay his kit with no triggers.
