It’s an old video, but one of the best I’ve found. Very good detail mate, for someone just starting out and learning, you’ve dine a brilliant job. Well done, I’ve written down lots of you’re little tips, which will be sure to help
Very informative video. I own a hilux and never had the confidence to do these stuff now I feel different about helping myself. I must say you are a great guy and an excellent teacher. God bless you and your family.
EXCELLENT VIDEO FOR ALL. I’m pretty good on the tools but have just bought my first hilux and this instructional video was bang on. Well done sir and thank you.
Legend! This gave me the confidence to try out an oil change at home for the first time. Thanks for the clear explanations and video, keep the Hilux maintenance content coming please!
Thanks for sharing this great video. I’m not a mechanic, but I found your video really easy to follow step by step on how to do basic service on my hilux. God bless🙏🏽
I have a 2009 hilux and even though I have a good mechanic for my services it was great to see how to change filters etc properly in case I’m out bush somewhere. Very easy to follow your video. Just subscribed. Cheers!
THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN. THE REAL CHAMPION IN THE WORLDS TODAY. THIS COMING SATURDAY, I WILL DO TOYOTA HILUX 2008 DURING WEEKEND FOR MY FRIEND. I LOVE THE WAY HOW SLOW DOWN YOUR TONE TO LET US UNDERSTAND YOU VERY WELL. BIG THANK YOU TO YOU MAN.
Hey mate, thanks for this video, I found it really comprehensive but without too much waffle. Keen to see more servicing videos on the Hilux in the future like other service items and checks you would do before doing a big 4x4 trip.
Thanks heaps for the video! Well presented and loads of great tips and advice. Loving my recently acquired 2009 SR5 and plan to service it in the next week. A tip for other viewers: If you get an aftermarket filter from Repco/Supercheap, they generally don't come with a washer. You will need to buy a small pack for around $5.
subbed! im not confident at servicing my car yet but i feel like i will the more times i play your video and watch others! Thanks for not cutting corners and giving as much as possible.
I recently got a Hilux and came on youtube looking for service videos. This video is really well done and makes the basic servicing job a lot less 'frightening' since it's a much bigger vehicle and can be intimidating. Bless up all the way from Barbados
Absolutely love this video guys! Thanks so much for explaining things so well without being like so many others. Really helpful and keep up the good work!
Brilliant 👏, has given me the confidence to try myself, appreciate you spending the time to go slow through with commentary the whole way, thanks so much
Mate, thanks so much for creating this video. I'm about to start doing my own services to save a bit of coin. This has given me the confidence and a lot of tips of what to look out for. Cheers!
Good tips, I'm looking to buy used Hilux soon. I saw them in Kuwait and they lasted forever. I am retired now in Spain and want to procure one soon, yes they are a bit pricey even 2nd hand. Thanks your video was helpful.
Fantastic video, well presented. Didn't realise you could drain oil jacked up, always battled before. Thanks a million. Now I want to do the gearbox and transfer case. Do you have any videos on this please? 🙏
Very informative video! Thanks a lot! This gives me a bit more confidence to try doing this myself on the family Hilux.I usually do it at a local workshop but with Covid&all,I am thinking of doing it at home instead.Just need to figure out how to dispose of all the used engine oil... 🤓
Great video! Lots of minor details which are important. I've got a same model Hilux and I have being doing the service myself as couple years. I am sure it'll be much effective service next time. Thanks.
This is the best explainer I've seen for a basic service. Really appreciate your taking the time to do this! One question: you've jacked up the front of the ute. Is that solely to get easy access to the sump plug and inspection of other areas - e.g. to facilitate draining the oil? I've got a "lifted" Hilux, with easy access below, but no car stands, so I'm hoping that I can forgo raising the front.
great explanation on partial service. What about the transfer case, gear box and front diff oils. As part of service you should always clean your breathers and drain your diesel from you fuel filter bowl and clean out the sediments.
great video. i think i heard you say something about an engine flush when you looked at the sump oil in the catch pan. What did you mean by engine flush? thanks

Just jacked up for the video . Yes most hilux's you can get underneath to drain the oil without with out lifting it..
