One small detail I love about this episode, is that Monica, typically a control freak and doesn't like people touching her things and messing them up, wanted to lend something so special as her wedding veil to Phoebe, it's such a sweet gesture of love and friendship to me.
Ross menioning "Hawaii at sunset" is ODDLY similar to Rachel's description of their fictional wedding at Ross's parents' anniversary thing a few seasons back. She said "Barbados at sunset", but I guess they already did Barbados.
Mike is just kinda an average guy and tbh I kinda wish they used him around the friend group more? Cuz like him being so normal compared to everyone else is so funny. I acc love the episode he and Ross spend together so fucking relatable lmao
We had a swingset in our backyard that, when I swung higher and higher, the posts would come up out of the ground, which was really interesting. We also had a tire swing hanging from a tree. I used to twist around on it, which eventually caused the rope to fray and give way.
This episode was amazing to me in my childhood. Still is now. Ross getting kicked and cussing was hilarious. Joey an absolute clown in this episode. Feels so nastolgic watching it with you.
The donation scene always makes me cringe 😂 like it’s fake but I still get so uncomfortable at the thought of actually going to ask for a charity donation back especially bc of how phoebes character is supposed to be the more selfless, eco friendly and charitable one of the group
But she is, it's just that she has a hard time accepting that she 100% deserves the money because of her selflessness. It is definitely cringe that they didn't have their minds totally made up beforehand, but it is totally in-character of Phoebe to struggle between doing the good thing (donating to charity) and the right thing (treating herself to a special, NORMAL wedding day).
The comment someone wrote about it not ageing well because of the charity thing, that wasn’t a good look in either time, but at least Phoebe’s money hadn’t been processed yet cos it was by cheque. Everything is online now and happens instantly, so it would be a lot worse if someone tried it today!
To answer your question, agencies in America generally allow families to set restrictions including age, race, disablility, and sex, for any number of reasons. Most adoptive parents want a newborn, and some want a girl or boy. Some couples want their child to have the power to make the decision whether or not to disclose the adoption, so they wait for an adoptable child that could pontentially pass as their own. The main disadvantage for parents is that every restriction they add lengthens the wait time.
5:00 I've been putting off playing that game for years, I somehow avoided spoilers this whole time, and now thanks to watching something completely unrelated I know there's swing involved, thanks xD
I think this episode aged pretty well, actually. It could've been much worse (like the bits with fat Monica, Chandler's dad, or Ross who tries to take away his son's barbie doll). Loved the bits with Joey and the social worker.
As I’ve mentioned before, Monica is just perfect. She’s a chef and likes cooking, she likes to clean and doesn’t like anyone else to do it. She’s kind and just enough crazy to keep a man on his toes. Plus she is hot!! Perfect woman. Ps: Ross getting kicked in the face looked VERY accurate. I’m sure he took a boot.
I wouldn't say she's perfect given that Chandler had to put his foot down a number of times to her obsessiveness. I also still remember the episode where everyone thought her party for Rachel's birthday was boring.
I don't like that they didn't have to give the money back to the charity. (Kind of doubting they would have gotten it back the first time. But it's Friends, I guess.)
@Urios she's very insensitive and more obsessive than ever. i know it's been 10 years since first season and everyone changed but her character got to a very bad turn

Can you go back to friends twice a week?
One small detail I love about this episode, is that Monica, typically a control freak and doesn't like people touching her things and messing them up, wanted to lend something so special as her wedding veil to Phoebe, it's such a sweet gesture of love and friendship to me.
"You have always been jealous of my hair..." has always made me laugh SO hard 😂😂
It’s so good because you know, you KNOW… it’s kind of true
Ross menioning "Hawaii at sunset" is ODDLY similar to Rachel's description of their fictional wedding at Ross's parents' anniversary thing a few seasons back. She said "Barbados at sunset", but I guess they already did Barbados.

"And for the last time we don't want to be friends with you" 😂😂😂😂😂
joey gaslighting the social worker😭
The bit with Joey and the social worker is to me, one of the show's greatest moments 😂😂
Joey did quick thinking here
this ep is also the proof that ross and rachel has great chemistry
That was already evident in the first season.
I wish I could watch friends for the first time again but tbh everytime I rewatch it I still laugh a bunch it’s a real fun show to revisit at least
Mike is just kinda an average guy and tbh I kinda wish they used him around the friend group more? Cuz like him being so normal compared to everyone else is so funny. I acc love the episode he and Ross spend together so fucking relatable lmao
Exactly. Especially considering many characters who were love interests, do hang out with the group. Best example is Julie
@@mangamouse520 I remember Julie's interactions w/ the gang being more off-screen compared to Richard's.
@@jp3813 true, he had way better ones since he could be at the apartment and just relaxing with everyone and even hanging out with Joey and Chandler

the way ross went flying at the end😂
One of greatest Joey scenes
definitely gonna rewatch your reactions on friends once it’s finished.
Almost done with that now.

It's crazy you're almost finishing season 10... I've watching your Friends reactions for so long ot feels weird being at the end hahahahafa
Joey did great in his scene. A funny episode.
I love that you mentioned doing half and half, cuz that's what I always thought!
I’ll always remember this being the episode I watched right before my last ever exam at secondary school ❤️

Goated game. Went in for easy achievements and was in turn handed a great story

Great reaction Joey. I love it

reading the comments i guess im in the minority, but I loved this episode lol
Same here, it's honestly an 8 for me... Or a 7.8
Chandler’s response to Phoebe asking for the money back was so good.Monica was such a bad influence
I can't wait to see your reaction to phoebe in her wedding dress!
To extend the Friends content you should just watch the Joey Spinoff sometime after you finish Friends
Oh god the Edith finch refrence 😅

Phoebe on wedding dress - season 4, episode 20

Consider reacting to Seinfeld next
Dude please upload faster 5-6 days is a long time I can't wait

You could always rank the episodes that were rated an 8 or 9 and above just so the amount of episodes is cut down a bit
In my bottom 10 easy.
seriously s10 monica
why
@Urios she's very insensitive and more obsessive than ever. i know it's been 10 years since first season and everyone changed but her character got to a very bad turn
@@datboi04 yeah it's really annoying
Nah totally disagree but ok
@@datboi04 nah Rachel, Chandler and Ross are great
