Facial expressions, voice changing, body language, rapid mood swings, played a drunk guy very well (which often actors overplay), the sad scene of the first breakup with Rachel, where he cried.. he just did everything amazing. Doesn't matter if you love or hate Ross, David Schwimmer's acting created one of the greatest characters in the sitcom history.

@@nolan5698 Oh yes!! The scene after Ross' night with the copygirl, she (they) made me forget I watched an actress. Or when she acted giving birth, so extremely realistic, especially knowing she never gave birth in real life. Aah, there are so many moments, she's phenomenal in Friends. Too many to sum up.

Matthew was unique in being extremely funny in short sharp lines and behaviour, but David has the capacity to be extremely funny in longer scenes, like for example the opening scene in this video, from the beginning to the end.
He's hilarious, also in subtle facial and physical expressions, and the sounds he sometimes makes!

No one hates Ross, the thing people hate is the show hyper focusing on Ross-Rachel relationship. I personally do not mind it but I can see why people wouldn't like that.
Yeah, people hate the character, not the actor. Personally, Ross is my least favorite friend for a lot of reasons, especially because of his relationship with Rachel, but David is a brilliant actor and the show would not have been the same without him.
Love David's portrayal, but dislike Ross right after he starts dating Rachel. Insecure mess.
David Schwimmer is so brilliant with his physical comedy! He breathes life into scenes with his exaggerated movements and inspired gestures. An utterly skilled performer! Seems to be a genuinely decent human being too. 🙂❤

when I was younger I always thought Ross was the luckiest character for ending up with Rachel, but now I see he had it the worst out of the male cast, I would not touch Rachel's character with a ten foot pole

That entire storyline is one of David's greatest acting moments on the show
I think Ross is overhated, he's really bad in relationship but when it comes to be a friend, a father or a brother, he's just the kindest. He's a great guys and i think that he's the character with the most values, principles and maturity of the six. David carried this character and i think he don't get the recognition he deserves.
The hate comes from trolls, I believe, so their opinion hasn't any value to me.
I think the majority of the viewers at least likes him and many love him.

David was the best actor on the show. His reactions created at least half the most iconic moments you remember.

@@Daniel-qw7mm ross is the least likeable out of the 3 male friends and oversteps boundaries/does self-serving things most frequently. that doesnt make him a bad person, id say thats a net of all positive and negative actions, but would explain negative feedback. this video reminded me of the upside of how funny the character can be and how good schwimmer plays the role.

When I first watched Friends, Ross was my least favourite character. Now after a few years of growing up and a few rewatchings, he's actually the funniest character in Friends to me 😂
Yes, I have the same with Phoebe. When I was young I found her the least funny, even annoying at times.
Now that I'm an adult I find her hilarious.

A lot of people might not like Ross but David really is the most talented out of them all, in my opinion. His facial expressions are unmatched and it’s extremely hard to make such an awkward character funny.
When I first started watching Friends, I wasn’t the biggest fan of Ross. Over time he became my favorite character, he is hilarious.

Saaaame. Used to hate him. Now I realize he is such a comedic anchor. Chandler is the quick wit, Ross is the over-exaggerated physical comedian. ❤
I think a lot of people feel the same. His character and his story arc were problematic at times but David did some of the best acting in the series.

I haven't seen this show in probably 10 yrs. But I caught one of the compilation videos last month. It lifted my spirit. And I have fallen in love with "Friends " all over again. 😊

Whenever I have to move a heavy object at work, I normally declare "Pivot!", and nine times out of ten, people have actually picked up on the reference. 😅
When I was in PT, and I had to try to move out of the hospital bed with broken collarbones, I STILL REMEMBER TO THIS DAY my wife saying: PIVOT!!!

I've watched the series so many times, The premium function for quality is pretty nice. Finally a good version of Ross being... Ross XD
Ross in unapologetically my favorite character of the show.
Not only he’s obviously hilarious and David Schwimmer did an amazing job with the role.
But also how is it possible to not have sympathy for the guy when you realize all the bad stuff that happened to him during the show?:
-the 7 years long (!) messy "relationship" with Rachel (obviously)
-the divorce with Carol because if you go beyond the sitcom stuff "lol his wife is a lesbian that’s hilarious" it totally destroyed him and made him unable to trust (season 3 episode 12)
-the multiple divorces and accidental pregnancies which again if you go beyond the funny sitcom elements are quite sad because all Ross has ever wanted was a marriage and a family (season 8 episode 5)
So yeah despite his flaws (a character without flaws is boring anyway + other main Friends characters also have huge flaws but it’s swept underneath the rug) Ross deserves more love

My mom loves Ross so much during like season four to like 10 and her favorite Ross moment is the leather pants and I always like to watch friends with her because whenever she laughs I laugh.
That leather pants scene with him on the phone with Joey and he tries to sound like he's not panicking - he physically executed that writing with absolute brilliance.

What I learned from watching FRIENDS is that in America you can be comfortable enough with the person you're dating to kiss or make out with them, but still not be able to tell them if you have a little problem with your pants or your teeth. 😄
What you should have learned, or already known, is that Friends isn't real life. It's a Sitcom, full of exaggerated situations - for laughs.
