I felt the exact same way too. Fauna's the reason I came back to watching hololive again after Coco's graduation. Unfortunate I only discovered her in the later half of her time.
Council was special. They are our friends during COVID lockdown. No other vtubers outside the Covid debut who will have the same bond like we have with those covid debut vtubers. I watched a lot of their streams during lockdown. Man, seeing they grow, I always visit Fauna's annual roasting of her yesteryear stream now I can't 😢

And because eventually we had what happened with Sana too makes this graduation feel so sad............what I hate from this is the person inside will never be able to talk about her life as Fauna
Why does it hurt? We know where she will be! But why do we grieve?! Because we wont be able to see her interactions with the other members anymore, I will miss S.N.O.T, I will miss her dynamics with Kronii, and Gigi. I will miss her long yaps while playing Minecraft and just have people join her discord. I will miss everything Fauna has been doing for the past 3 years. People think that she didn't do well for her idol career, but I think she did a lot for her niche. She pulled the mommy role so well, her voice was so soothing, and the games she plays have always mostly been background games that won't make you too roused up. We don't like change, but its inevitable. Thank you Fauna for everything, we will grow into strong trees that help the globe.

Sauna graduation was because she could not anymore, because of some unlucky circumstances in her life. Fauna spoke with the management and choose to leave. That is a much better thing. She will for sure continue content creation, even without the reach she has as Fauna. Even though we will lose the internet Idol Fauna, this wont be the last we heard of the content creator behind Fauna. I knew from Fauna's reveal stream of the Content creator behind Ceres Fauna and i was super happy that she got the opportunity to get into Hololive, as she couldn't make it even close to this far on her own little channel. Now and even thought i am sad too that she is going to leave hololive... And I know this may not be the best thing to say here, but i am also very glad that my favorite ASMR channel, no... my Favorit UA-cam Channel overall will be returning from the dead... Long live 🍋🍃!
No doubt we'll see her reunited with shondo not long after her return as well as many others in the indy scene and smaller corpo members perhaps even pippa because of that funny moment of fauna saying to pippa in the chat "I know you" lol.

The future of vtubing might be much more indie. We've already proven that if companies aren't there for their talents when they are here, we'll find and support them when they become indie. The vtuber community was always the people, corpos just made it easier to find an audience. When life gives you lemon 🍁
This is superficial. There is always gonna be people that want more than just being a streamer, more than just play videogames for a living. Just being indie, you can be like almost everyone, who streams for less than 10 viewers for years and never achieve anything. There is always gonna be people who have the ambition and the selfless to join a corpo and be part of something bigger than themselves. If someone has a dream of performing on stage, or having their song heard to thousands of people, where do you go? Where do you start? How long are you willing to wait? How likely are you able to succeed? Talent alone is not enough to succeed in this field, you also need luck. You will have to grind either way, you'll just have to choose. Not everyone is willing to go the clout farming route, because they may feel uncomfortable or not willing to. Corpos are the alternative to clout farming, where you just grind a normal job. What corpos provide is this alternative. A normal day-to-day work grind removing the luck factor, as they already have an established fanbase. And I'm not even talking about the big ones, the small to medium ones also provide this, but at a smaller scale and longer period. What corpos will have to do is to adapt to this change. When the talents see the corpo as a step in their ambitions and not a forever job (and even so, being an indie streamer is not a forever job as well). The bigger the corpo, the faster this will happen, therefore they have to make as much money as fast as possible. What hololive is doing, is giving their talents the best possible concerts and windows of opportunity, as of right now, no one comes close to hololive's production values, and this is something that people desire, both the viewers and the talents, IRyS talked about this recently (may have been a member stream). And if they wish to slow down their career, they can just leave. My point is, corpos are offering a solution to a common problem in content creation: discoverability. This problem will never really go away, because it is not really a problem, it is just how the business work. We already know how the content creation scene works for non-vtubers, just look at the biggest content creators in Twitch/Kick/UA-cam whatever. On Twitch/Kick, clout farming is king, you don't even have to stream games anymore or even be entertaining, this works for both males and females. On UA-cam, the biggest content creators also have professionalized their content along with it, literally creating their own corporations. The truth is, where this is money, there will be corporations swooping in, this is what happened to youtube years back. The reason this doesn't happen to streamers, is because streaming itself is an inefficient way to make money compared to the alternative. That may be a reason why hololive is so adamant to go full entertainment mode (I don't agree, but I understand the reasoning), and a reason on why so many corpos go broke.

Like you, I've been with Fauna since debut. A loyal sapling. She is my Ohshi as well. I wish her all the best, but, NGL, it's gonna hurt for a while. That's one of the things I like about you. You care. Though I only recently subbed to you, I've been watching for a while when I can. Take care of yourself.
Sorry for how this hit you. I kinda felt this would happen someday. A lot of corpo-Vtubers are quitting because of difficulties with management. This was to be expected with rising demands and less freedom to do what the individual wants to do. But there is always the light coming in the future. We might lose more of our favourites but even if the character leaves, the voice behind it might return. The community grown around those vtubers will always be there and should they hear a familiar voice they will flock to that new channel and be happier. That is my always my hope when these situations happen.
Man, I've Loved Fauna 💚 However, talent over IP every day of the week. Her fanbase is dedicated and she will be showered in love and support whenever she returns to streaming elsewhere. It does suck that she was put into this position, but I'm glad she was strong enough to make the decision to graduate if that was the best course of action for her.
It's a hard situation, I feel you man. I was in your shoes just 2 months ago when Ame made the same announcement. It will be some very melancholic and hard times until her final stream but at least we can find solace that someone like Fauna who loves content creation so much will be back. All we can do is enjoy the remining time with "Fauna" and continue to cheer for her in the future.
When I started watching Hololive back when Myth was the only EN gen, I was a very casual fan just watching every now and then, not sticking to any one talent. I was excited to see IRyS debut, she was my first debut I watched. Then Council was announced soon after and I got so excited! I still was a very casual fan at the time though. Then Fauna spoke. It clicked. I recognised her very distinctive voice immediately. And that was it for me. I never missed a live if I could help it and when I really couldn't watch live I watched the VOD as soon as I could. I finally knew what it was to have an oshi. I was so excited and happy for Fauna to join Holo and she dragged me right down into the Holo rabbit hole like no one else could. Faunas graduation is hitting me hard. I know she is most likely going to continue on her PL and she is not gone forever, but it is different and that is scary. The relationships she built up and all the really fun collab streams she gave us and her interactions with her gen mates and other Holo members is ending. That is the real sadness here I think. On another note, I feel like she wants the saplings to find her PL, with that latest video she put out, it is like a beacon saying "I am here saplings, come find me" Because we all know that pizza story. I don't really know who you are beyond the times I have seen you in Holomembers chats, but I felt a kinship with you and saw myself reflecfed in your words and reaction. So thank you for helping me feel a little less alone for a moment. Gonna miss Fauna.

Really, all we can do is direct them towards her PL so they can continue to support her, just like the Dragoons with Doki earlier this year... and I'm sure Fauna's been banking on this fact, too. Apparently she opened up subs on her Twitch account before her graduation was even announced, so she's banking on it.
There was a ridiculous amount of people in the waiting room and that's most likely from the day before having Chloe announce her ending streaming activities. Everyone's on edge whenever a talent says they have an announcement

I feel that. Calli brought me over to Hololive but gen 2 and especially Fauna made me stay to this day. Others have picked up a bit for me over Fauna (she was never my Kami-Oshi, that spot belongs to Calli) but I cannot deny how special Gen 2 has been for everyone. This will be the first time a gen is losing 2 members, with first Sana and now this. Strange and sad times are ahead but I am sure in the end it will all be fine.

On one hand, its sad. And i feel for ya man.. On the other hand, its understandable.. the direction Hololive is going is very different from what it was 3-4 years ago. So many of the girls say the dont have enough time to stream as much as the want to because theyre busy with homework and coming i to the studio. Knowing fauna past life i was surprised with her content, it was so different from what see used to do.. i thought maybe this is just her releasing herself doing whatever she wants without regard to what generates a following. But maybe somewhere in there, she wanted to go back to her own path.. doing asmr and streaming.. who knows.. you may get to react to a totally new vtuber some time in the future on the other react thing we haven’t decided on a name yet :p

Fauna was the first one I ever sort of watched regularly when I was going through some seriously tough stuff last year, so this is the first grad that ever really hit me. Hopefully you'll still be wearing a bomb ass hat and holding a smol boi, but maybe they'll look just a teeny bit different.
I felt the same with Sana, and I cant help to feel something similar with Fauna, the only thing that make the pain go easier is that she will keep streaming in another leaf. It´s ok bro, we are all together in this, we´ll be ok.

Although i'm probably more of an IRyStocrat than a Sapling. This has been the most devastating graduation announcement i've experienced so far. I knew going in around the time Coco left that it would hurt a lot when a talent you like graduates. But i did not expect it would feel so much like loss.
I woke up Sunday morning and saw my phone was dead. I plugged it in, turned it on, and a bunch of notifications started loading in. The one that flew by, but caught my attention was "Fauna is graduating". Man, that had me stumped. Then I remembered the sinking feeling from seeing that "Saying Hi to my 914k subscribers" - it was foreshadowed. 😢 I can't really say I have an oshi, because I like each and every one of them, and every time someone leaves, it makes me sad.
She stated that she still loves streaming so keep and eye out for any new Indies that pop up after the time just in case :). She may look different but I have a feeling that Fauna not done just yet, just moving away from Studio life. I think the roughest thing is the interactions between the girls and missing that, but Fauna herself will most likely show back up down the road to grace us once again. If she does not than I wish her the best in whatever she choses.

I was hoping until the very last moment that it will be a long hiatus or break. But the more time passed the more hints came up, like Bae‘s post, Mumei retweet and later Raora post pone her stream… This one hurts very much, because Fauna was one of the first I saw her complete career from her debut until now. Sana was already hard to process, but this one hits another level…😢 Her reasoning is understandable. Sometimes there are disagreements between two parties and maybe it can only lead to one option. But I don’t like the timing. Near the end of the year, after so many member leaving, especially close to Chloe‘s announcement.. I accept her decision and will still support her, but it’s a hard pill to swallow… 😭 Let’s make the best out of it. It’s funny before Fauna I never was into Vtubers or anything until I saw Fauna debut just randomly appeared on UA-cam. I was hooked instantly from day 1. I ain’t going to lie when she announced her graduation I cried a lot. Even though I never met her or anything. Idk. I just can’t put it into words or anything.
She's blown me away with her creativity from silly things like a retro Minecraft stream to learning to make a rap in a stream. I love her unique voice and I'll definitely follow her wherever she goes.
Fauna was so unique, unreplacable, theres gonna be a gigantic hole to fill, i really hope she finds a home at vshojo or something, alot of the girls going there is very happy and enjoy life.
I always hate these graduations because they are killing off the avatar. The avatars are so good and the person behind them even better but it just sucks because you'll never see the model again outside the old streams. The person behind the avatar can always continue (at least hopefully) with a new face (or old) but the avatar can't.

It clicked. I recognised her very distinctive voice immediately. And that was it for me. I never missed a live if I could help it and when I really couldn't watch live I watched the VOD as soon as I could.
I finally knew what it was to have an oshi.
I was so excited and happy for Fauna to join Holo and she dragged me right down into the Holo rabbit hole like no one else could.
Faunas graduation is hitting me hard. I know she is most likely going to continue on her PL and she is not gone forever, but it is different and that is scary. The relationships she built up and all the really fun collab streams she gave us and her interactions with her gen mates and other Holo members is ending.
That is the real sadness here I think.
On another note, I feel like she wants the saplings to find her PL, with that latest video she put out, it is like a beacon saying "I am here saplings, come find me" Because we all know that pizza story.
I don't really know who you are beyond the times I have seen you in Holomembers chats, but I felt a kinship with you and saw myself reflecfed in your words and reaction. So thank you for helping me feel a little less alone for a moment.

I feel that. Calli brought me over to Hololive but gen 2 and especially Fauna made me stay to this day. Others have picked up a bit for me over Fauna (she was never my Kami-Oshi, that spot belongs to Calli) but I cannot deny how special Gen 2 has been for everyone. This will be the first time a gen is losing 2 members, with first Sana and now this. Strange and sad times are ahead but I am sure in the end it will all be fine.

On one hand, its sad. And i feel for ya man.. On the other hand, its understandable.. the direction Hololive is going is very different from what it was 3-4 years ago. So many of the girls say the dont have enough time to stream as much as the want to because theyre busy with homework and coming i to the studio. Knowing fauna past life i was surprised with her content, it was so different from what see used to do.. i thought maybe this is just her releasing herself doing whatever she wants without regard to what generates a following. But maybe somewhere in there, she wanted to go back to her own path.. doing asmr and streaming.. who knows.. you may get to react to a totally new vtuber some time in the future on the other react thing we haven’t decided on a name yet :p

Fauna was the first one I ever sort of watched regularly when I was going through some seriously tough stuff last year, so this is the first grad that ever really hit me. Hopefully you'll still be wearing a bomb ass hat and holding a smol boi, but maybe they'll look just a teeny bit different.
I felt the same with Sana, and I cant help to feel something similar with Fauna, the only thing that make the pain go easier is that she will keep streaming in another leaf.

I always hate these graduations because they are killing off the avatar. The avatars are so good and the person behind them even better but it just sucks because you'll never see the model again outside the old streams. The person behind the avatar can always continue (at least hopefully) with a new face (or old) but the avatar can't.
