- This is how to build the VAS Gremlin Biplane. Expect to spend ~1-2 hours building and wiring this plane up. The CG is not critical and can be adjusted for slower or faster flight.

Nice tutorial. Only thing I would change would be to call the bends in the control linkage wires, "Z" bends ... that's what they've been called for decades, and more aptly describes the kind of bend you want in the wire (as opposed to an "s" bend). From a "classic design" POV, I'd like to see a smaller vertical fin. However, in order to get sufficient directional control without ailerons, your method probably works fine. Now, if you opted for a small vertical fin (no rudder control) and put 'barn door' ailerons in the lower wing, that's another way you could go with this thing. Suggest you don't let your dog chase after and bite this one as he does with some of the small quads you've let him 'play' with .. wouldn't be much left. Cheers.
The large stabilizer in the rear changes the way the plane turns. The smaller the rudder, the more the plane rolls into the turn. At 5.5-6" it naturally makes a coordinated turn. At 4" and less it rolls like ailerons only.

Where is cg? Specifically for triplanes
How could they sell out, I have not found them on any website yet. If wrong , on what website are they?

I saw at stone blue their picture was a triplane for$34.99. Is this the same plane? I like the biplane better. Are you selling this biplane at VAS?
That's the Triplane they made since my biplane has chunks taken out of it. I am building one up for photographs right now.

What ESC did you use? I'm gonna start the triplane version and that's the only thing I'm missing...polulu or esc bec for Rx and servos?
So the motor is a permanent install? No X mount, just bolt it to the firewall and glue everything into place? And destroy the nose if I ever need to switch the motor?
With hot glue install you can remove it by warming it up with a heat gun. Or you could just chop off 1/4" of the nose if you like since the plane is already naturally nose-heavy. Everything on this is to save weight. The lighter the plane is, the better it flies.
Rubbing alcohol will release too. Hmm 1306 motor you like 3300 or 4000kv?

That's what I've been told by numerous, haven't had occasion to use it. Using the freezing tendency of canned air can loosen hot glue grip too I believe.

Would it be possible to velcro on the third wing to make a removable? (fun fact, I talked to you at Flite Fest about these airplanes)

i LOVE this idea... from what I gather the triplane is another wing and a bit of foam to mount the wing above the biplane portion?... did you ever try this?... I think I may have to try it out.

Video Aerial Systems doesn't matter. Wanted to buy two ICs from Texas Instruments - each was lime 4x5 mm. Your bloody postal service wanted 35$ to send them to Europe.
Really? You guys in Europe get screwed by shipping companies, don't you? They're quoting $100 to ship this little plane which weighs 110grams with the box and it is the size of a house brick...
