The Boss SY-1000 really benefits from the addition of an expression pedal. Particularly with the multilayered SY-1000 so much can be done with an expression pedal: from volume swells, wah effects, pitch bending, blending synth layers, modulating synth parameters and more.
With so many expression pedals out there, what is the best choice for the SY-1000? Here is a round up of some great choices for the SY-1000.
Hey Sir go do the Star Spangled Banner d on Roland Gr700 Guitar synthesizer with High Strings II go do it

It is me or there is a bit of “dead zone” in ev5 at the starting point? Always thought it was a fabric Issue of mine.
It could very well feel that way, I think the resolution is still pretty poor for all these pedals, if sent as a MIDI stream it is 128 steps for the entire travel of the pedal.
HELL YEAH, mine too. What other option coulb be good? I need it for my keyboard and some strings and that dead zone make the rising too rude
@@Pvargas98 well, usually I am happy reversing the direction of the pedal, since at the end of the stroke I find it more precise. It's just a matter of habit
The EV5 does not send an even signal throughout the sweep. I hooked up a multimeter to the TRS and it seems to only respond to the last 25% of the sweep before the resistance changes.
