I do agree miamar, and I love a mix of high and low end products myself. I just see a lot of videos on beauty that insist one must spend thousands and do forty different steps with special tools. So it's nice to see something like this, and such a lovely result.
My grandma would set her hair every night before bed! She passed away this month and even during her last weeks, her nurses would set her hair for her. :)

I mean the majority of my eyeshadow palettes are at least five years old. Products don't expire within 6 months or whatever the packaging says, they expire when there is no product left lol

I think that the only reason they put the sell by date on it is so they don't get sued if someone wears old makeup and gets a bacterial infection. Like literally I found one of my mum's eyeshadow duos from the nineties & cos I'm a nerd I took some into school and out it under the microscope and it was crawling with bacteria sooooo... Its okay to keep makeup past the sell by date, but maybe not up to twenty years
I have blush and bronzer that I’ve been using for 5 years. I’m sure it’s fine as long as it doesn’t seem to be getting weird. Just make sure you’re keeping your brushes clean and you should be okay lol

Love how simple your makeup is. More beautiful and authentic IMO than many I see doing a vintage look using contour, highlighter, loads of eye shadow all perfectly applied. Sure for the Hollywood look you can apply more, but for an everyday look many busy women back in the forties only put on a slick of red lipstick, some rouge and powder.

Man you do your makeup just like me. Mostly cheap products, very few products, no contouring, applying with fingers, and honestly I look great and so do you. I prefer having a lighter makeup routine. A strong red or purple lipstick brings it together for me.
Curly hair suits you very much. It goes well with your face shape and brings out a lot of elegance with it. This may sound weird but 1920s,30s, and even 40s hair styles work well with your face shape. Especially the polish hair styles. Could be because you're a polish woman and your homeland hair styles work best😂😂😂. But that's what I noticed whenever you do a GRWM vintage video. Love you Karolina! So glad I subscribed to this amazing chanel!
For real, the most relatable GRWM out there, and you rock it! And don't be sad because you don't use brushes or sponges for your makeup, or even expensive stuff, I've seen footage from well known makeup artists (the ones that work with celebrities and stuff) and most of the time they use their hands for exactly the same things you do, since it helps blend things better and gives a more natural look. Also, we all have lipsticks that are probably older than they should be lol. Don't be so harsh on yourself, your routine might be simple but the result is elegant, and that's what matters.

I swear, there are actual makeup artists that woukd literally be telling you that everything you did was perfect and you really dont need to stress. That mascara is a staple in makeup artists kits, fingers are the BEST tool to use, and less is absolutely more. Not to mention that the 40s makeup was not OTT like it is today, so I genuinely see this as perfect.

As a single 34-year old guy who had only brothers, I had no clue about any of what you were doing. I enjoyed watching you, especially how real you were, which is what I appreciate about your videos. And I love the 1940's fashion, too.
the orangy concealers work a bit like colour correctors. they help with discoloration and dark spots as a base. usually they are thick, so one could go over with a foundation. you should try that once with the red spots and see if you need less foundation - unless the consistency of that foundation is that way that it is not possible to spread thin layers. than it doesn't matter
well, obviously you're a natural, only a handful of products and you're good to go. respect! I always try and blend my eyeshadow with those strange brushes, and it lit(t)erally all lands somewhere beyond my lower lid, where I seem to sweep it up with my blusher-brush and then it lands somewhere on my cheekbones - so that's some easy conturing done.. whereas if I would just go back to finger those pigments around my face as I used to do, at least I wouldn't have to care for brush-cleaning - because most of the products seem to stay IN the brushes, not end up in the "lid crease"... so. thumbs up to you!

I love how relatable you are, and that you show looking vintage isn't necessarily expensive. It honestly doesn't surprise me that you don't obsess over brand name cosmetics, you know so much detail about history in other videos it seems you're smart and have better things to think about.

Karolina, I think you are a natural beauty in any case! I have actually never heard of someone who watched a make-up tutorial with expensive brands who went and bought all of them. Drugstore make-up works just as well.

I love your makeup tutorial not for the makeup but for the reality of how normal women apply makeup. You have the honesty to show and to be simple yet elegant. You don't need to paint your face with a Sephora store. Don't feel bad about being different :)
I understand You so well about applying with fingers, I get annoyed when I hear those "beauty gurus" on YT say that You HAVE to use brushes or sponges. Like no, You dont HAVE to if You dont feel comfortable with them. Applying foundation with brush for me personally takes 2X more time and theres often those streaks that i need to pad with something away anyway. Sponges are extremely expensive here aswell. I get waaaay better results just with fingers and dont see anything bad about it as long as Your hands are clean while doing it. And Your makeup is really nice! :)
The red and black brush is Lancome and i have the same one. One brush I use for eyeshadow and browns

Laroche Posay is a pretty popular brand sold in North America. Also, using your fingers is perfectly fine, but is usually for thicker cream products . Since your foundation is liquid using would give a nice finish.
