Andy let me have a few shots with this racket. I'm a Yonex Vcore 98 Tour user, so the specs are almost exactly the same. But this racket gave me a bit more of a flatter ball and had very nice feel. Definitely going to play test it when the demo comes in.
@@carloscuevas4442 you were the first one to hit with the racquet (even before me). You were hitting very clean and I think with your full strokes that you wouldn’t have the same stability issues I was having and you wouldn’t need any weight at 3/9.
Thanks for the review as well. I am a Sucker for RF racquets and I currently use the original Autograph some days. Tempted to try this for fun. BTW Your kid is really good.
@@dharmaboy75 thanks so much. It is truly a blessing to be able to hit with him and include him in the review. Be careful trying this for fun unless you are willing to spend $300 after your blissful experience. 😀
@@svlagonda7417 it is Alu Power. That works surprisingly well in this racquet since the racquet is already stiff feeling. ALU power ice blue softens it up a bit while still maintaining the crispness.
@@fretstain not yet, but I’ll do so soon. It will be tricky to do a 1:1 comparison of the frames as the difference in grips also changes your apparent feel of stiffness.
@@willcassidy2899 it is crisper than the Pro Staff 97 v14 , feels stiffer and has more power/topspin. The PS97 v14 feels buttery soft to me and it is a very linear racquet; you can get shape with the PS97 v14 but it doesn’t come as easy. The RF01 Pro is like a Pure Aero 98 that lends itself more to players who play more on the flat side.
Never mind the racquet, your son is a really great tennis player 😃

@@tenniswithandy lol I know Andy, here in Canada I will be looking at $400CAD for this unit.
Whats the blue string you put into the racket?
And how did it play?
Nice review, Andy! Love that there is room for customization on this platform.
@@vladleopard yes indeed. I think you’d really enjoy it once you’ve dialed it in to your specs.
RF for life 💪🏽💯

Yeah I tried Alu Rough and that worked great. Only downside is that the string playability doesn't long. Amazing when fresh though
have you compared the pro vs the rf 01? curious how much of a difference in stiffness you noticed

How does it feel/ play compared to a Pro Staff 97 v14

I just bought pro staff v14 like two months before this release Y_Y
@@ccdemagician2 the pro staff v14 is a great racquet too, it just gives a different feel
They're very different racquets.
Hows the QC on these racquets?
@@HNR3457 I have only measured two samples in terms of swingweight. They were 330 and 332 respectively.
