that really is THE venue of the last few years... i love 5m to hand its soo relaxing fishing...those pegs you are on seem incredibly popular with video Ytube v'loggers im suprised theres not a queue for them.. it looks a great river.... nice one
All that road noise in the background! Reminds me of an old Trent stretch that used to be on day ticket. Harrington Arms at Sawley with the constant drone off the M1 especially when it was wet.
Steve, could you run through the flick-tip and elastic set-ups you use on the whip, showing the bungs and connectors and the different grades of elastic, please? Any chance of some hook suggestions too?
Yes, for this style of fishing I use a hollow elastic through just the number two section of the pole (whip) a 12 to 14 hollow set pingy is perfect for bigger fish. I have a earlier video pole to hand on the Severn where I show the elastic attachments just use a bigger elastic.
Thanks for this, my local canal was pulling through like a river after storm Bert and the floodgates had been opened to drain the excess water and the tow was pulling my 1gram rugby ball float under, I think I need to invest in heavier rugby ball floats or maybe a flat float. Were you fishing just off bottom?
Steve do you ever catch bigger chub out of the eye or are they all in the 1 to 2lb range and I bet there’s so huge pike in there too, great video yet again mucka
Great video Steve, wish the Wye was on my doorstep, what a river.

Just a little bit different to how I fish on the Oxford canal, I use less weight, great video and class angling.
