- The Exter is based on the Grand i10 Nios but it is more expensive than it. Here is why. First its bigger and tougher. Sure the wheelbase is the same but in terms of length and height it is bigger. The suspension too has been beefed up to deal with bad roads better. Also it has more ground clearance, all of which add to the cost and make it heavier. Second, it is packing in more safety features like 6 airbags as standard. The base version also gives you the option of adding ESP and Hill Hold if you would like it. Hyundai say they have made the platform better when it comes to accidents. The Exter is also packing in way more features in the top spec variants. There is a digital dashboard for the driver's instruments cluster, there's a sunroof and there's a dash cam. All right. But when it comes to the engine, it's shared with the Nios but the AMT is getting paddle shifters which gives you a greater sense of control and excitement.

Need a small car.. but the hatches sit really low.. thinking of considering the exter.
Exter too sits low too, it's having a taller cabin than nios that's all.

Length is same as nios... Not bigger.
Really difficult to choose exter b/w I10nios & Venue, Nios offer better value & proper engine, whereas if ur more into space venue is a much better pick although with the cost of performance.
Unless you really want a higher car, consider the i20. It has got way more cabin room than both Exter and Venue.

What do you mean by "proper engine"? They have the same engine as mentioned in the video. I have the Exter and the refinement of its engine is best in class.
Also, the Exter is way more value for money as its safety quotient is higher and is packed with features, some of which are segment firsts.
@@MegaRazzzz I know both have same engine but Exter weighs close to 1 Ton whereas nios kerb weight is 865kg therfore better P/W ratio. Exter doesn't hv a ncap rating so can't say on safety.
Are you sure about the beefed up suspension setup?
Except Suspension & dash cam, I found nothing so special. Dash Cam also can be installed anywhere.
If you install a dash cam from anywhere it will void your car's warranty. Any electronic and wiring change should be done at authorised showrooms.
still , first party dashcam is not enough of a reason to buy exter over i10.

I test drove nios and exter back to back. Felt nios suspension is more comfortable whereas you will hear thump sound in exter. Exter won't be enjoyable in city roads due to stiff suspension and on highways it will be under powered compare to nios.
Exter or i20 for a family of 4 for daily city commute and occasional vacation to hilly areas 🤔
I20 for sure....its a premium hatch back...170mm is more than enough for most of the roads...unless if u r looking for true suv..get bolero neo else
i20 is premium experience car. You can't compare it to Exter. Exter is for people on budget.

Drove it twice. Was like driving a rick. Poor quality from Hyundai. Was shocked with the poor experience.
