Now that we're nearing the end of September would you do anything differently on a match fishery? Any advice would be great 👍🎣

Always makes me cringe watching match anglers. A bit of fish safety wouldn't go a miss.

I suppose snaring a big carp and leaving it out of the water for ages while you take a grinning photo

@@brianwelbourne9896 I fish for trout, perch, pike and Carp and from 30 years experience the majority of carp anglers make the most effort with fish care. Match angling is getting better from the days of 100lb weights stuffed in a keep net and thrown on the floor but still along way to go in my opinion. 🤷‍♂️

this holier than thou fish care police attitude really posses me off.
So the majority of pike set ups have 6 hook points, most trout get knocked on the head and most carp rigs have massive barbed hooks. Yes, you're right in that match fish aren't really treated like royalty but there's very few fish that are treated well. Let's be honest the only fish that are truly cared for are the ones that get fed but don't get hooked. There's nothing remotely caring about putting a hook in something.
I've also got 30 years experience but I don't have my head buried up my own arse.

@@robertcourt8593 just because it posses you off doesn't mean it's not true. I included experience of many different disciplines of angling to show I dont just carp fish. Plus the worst fish care i have seen is in the match scene! That's what I've seen. No need to get abusive Rob..
No need to treat them badly just because they are a fish. And pike get a bad deal, yes people fishing with trebles and dealing with deep hooked fish is a big problem. A little bit of care goes along way when you want to continue with a sport people love doing. My head isnt up my own arse I just commented on a video. Get over yourself.
