The night I walked out of the cinema where I saw Top Gun: Maverick a voice in my head said "I think it's time I started growing a moustache"
Highway to the Danger Zone right there
Exactly right Greg , I hope you're doing ok it's been such a long time since I last commented on anything ? Anyway greetings from the UK .
Greg the goat
Looking good, man! I started rocking a mustache this past year before I retire from the Army. It’s been a little difficult keeping it in regs, but always enjoy the Beardbrand videos to keep me motivated. Be easy! ✌️
“That thing is not in regs. But it looks good so I’ll let it slide.” - my old first sergeant
Hey guys, as someone fresh out and getting to regrow my beard if you're really looking for the Top Gun stache, Navy regulations state hair cannot grow 1/4 inch past a vertical line from the corner of your mouth, cannot pass a horizontal line from the corner of your mouth, cannot curl over your lip and no hair can be beyond 1/2 inch.
Miles still was slightly out of regulation, but so was I for most of my time, most people don't care.
I feel like not many people know this. The reason why fighter pilots, firefighters and even nasa astronauts only have mustaches is because if wearing a face mask for oxygen, beards prevent a good seal on the face. The only facial hair allowed, if they want to grow facial hair, is a mustache. It’s not a personal fashion choice, but most wear one because it just helps them fit their identity.
That's been debunked
Everybody's stache is so unique. This is what I am learning. :)
Tight 'Stache My Guy.
THIS is a great tutorial! The way you explained the upcoming process, explained the nuances, then gave us the "how to", brilliant! Many Thanks!
Was sure I was going to keep my beard till after xmas...this has challenged that plan
Yes that was my plan too , until I saw this
I just trimmed my beard to, like, 9 mm and kept the stache. Best of both worlds in my opinion.
I had to watch this to get the courage to take clippers to my stache. It's the one dimension I haven't touched. Thank you.
My pleasure! -Eric
The real treasure was the mustaches we grew along the way.
Glad they came back. Gonna b rockin my again now that the weathers good again
Not even close. But I think the reason being is that his mustache in that movie is not full hairs. It's like a short buzz, but it's so thick I'm not even sure it's real. It's like a glued on mat? You look good though.
Sorry to see such a good chevron get mowed down, but I appreciate you giving us content to enjoy. Finished product looks a bit like Walter White's moustache before he grew out his beard.
With the hair is more like a Randy Johnson look! Very cool
Cheers Eric I appreciate this you've just given me the Top Gun mustache 👌🏻
Grown mine out over the past while, I like the idea of trimming the moustache WITH the grain. Is there any specific reason to do this for a moustache or does it just take less hair off wherever you do it?
Yup, it's to take less grain off and not go too short. -Eric
I liked having this style, but now I've grown out a huge handlebar again and planning on just letting growing it really long now.
You rocked it! I’m digging it. 👍🏻😎
Wow!! You did a great job Eric !! Awesome skills to do it by yourself!! You 're looking so good and LOVE your long or medium lenght hair !! Keep on growing 🙏🙏🙏!! Hugs from here dude 😎!*
Whaddup Sly?! 🤠🐐
Not sure about the solo stach
I think the beard looks better
Anybody growing a chevron? Do you guys trim/ cut or shave the ends abit to bring it in or let it flow on the sides?
the video that no one asked for but that we all needed
Let me mention "Dennis Farina" is this "iconic"cut👍
This looks nice. Maybe shaving the beards off would make it look better.
Finally you drop that 😅❤️❤️❤️
Yes sorry I forgot to mention, great to see Sly once more ❤️
A Tire style.
quick question, can you use beard balm everyday or is it better to use in once in a while and use the oil instead?
Bring back Mehesh, please!!!
As an welder I wash my beard everyday. Is this ok? I do use products
Hey brothers, I’d like to show you my before and after pictures of me growing a beard, how do I contact you guys to make that happen?
Damn man your mustache is glorious 🤩
do you have a video on your different/preferred trimmers?
Looking professional
Was there a link for the trimmer??
Keep that look maverick 👍
All is well on the other side of the internet 😎
No.
You require a maximum of 1 trimmer with adjustable lenghts, nothing else.
Trim all but the stasche to 0,4 - 1,0 cm.
Put a "flat smile" on and remove everything below the lip
Use the unguarded trimmer to remove all rebelious strands of hair.
DONE! Didn't cost a dime.
Eric your hair is so cool
Thanks Ryan! -Eric
Why not Whatsapp for the styling consult? I think texting will be expensive for us European's
Eric, I'm not gay, but this look works great for you. The half-long hair and beard. It's a match made in heaven with your face.
Much better than the short hair and the cop moustache.
Oh, you deleted your beard. Makes sense, that's what the video is about.
Great look, Eric. Also great to see Sly come out from behind the curtain.
Planning on getting him a little more screen time as he records barbershop videos. -Eric
Is it possible to get style advice from Sly only by texting the number shown or is there a different way to get in touch? I am from a different country and international fares are a bit too expensive
You can email our support team at support@beardbrand.com and it'll get routed to Sly. -Eric
how long did you grow a mustache to be so thick ?
Eric, you can be my wingman any time. ✈
Come on down to Austin, TX. It'll be a good time. -Eric
I LOVE❤ MOUSTACHE ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
a stylist wearing a patchy beard no tanx
Better than the "top gun mustache "
That did not look at all the same
Top Gun moustache tutorial, or: "How to look like a creep from the 80s". :D
If we're not careful, we might end up looking like creeps from the 2010's. 😎 -Eric
@@BeardbrandAlliance I'm way too old for 2010s fashion choices. ;)
You looking good
Why would anyone want to? You got a nice thick stache going. You should keep it.
Looks like the Chevron Mustache Mixed with Hitlers Mustache... I Think to do it more Accurately is like a #1 or #2Guard Length
hey 😮😮 beardbrand allinace bro
Dude it's always weird seeing your upper lip. In a good way tho
It was weirder when he shaved lol, he reminded me of the original Sonic from the Sonic movie
@@gaminglegend oh yeah. That was something ...
Men, lock up your ladies.
Nope that’s not it.
Male ♂️♂️♂️♂️♂️
His moustache was HORRIBLE! It made him look like a hairlip.
Why? It's not even a decent looking mustache.
Chevron suits you way more
Highway to the Danger Zone with that mustache!
