I just found out I have a 13cm by 7.3cm by 9.7cm endometrioma on my right ovary. I had my 2nd child 11 months ago, during pregnancy ultrasounds the tech would always remark on the cyst she saw saying it was pretty big always asked me if it was painful?.. When speaking with my midwife she said it's of no concern. Now 11 months PP it's grown SO large!
I didn't want to completely rule out further children but now I'm faced with that... I was discharged from the ER because they said it's "NOT an emergency" due to the fact I have blood flow to ovary and no torsion. The GYN went on to explain if it were to burst I'd be in excrutiating pain but "I'd live"🙄. I never suspected I had endometriosis before this. On tip of this my period just started (ensuring it will grow larger. It may burst or twist 😱) I am currently waiting for an appt. with Gyno and then waiting for surgery.
Question: Because of its massive size, does that mean I for sure will have lost fertility in that ovary? Or does the good blood flow indicate that it can be saved? Or blood flow to the ovary doesn't really indicate that the ovary itself hasn't been irreparably damaged?
Any info would be appreciated so I know what to talk to my Gynecologist about!

Well, feeling how it began to shrink and eventually disappear within 2 months was so liberating. I followed the steps I mentioned, and within the first 2 weeks the bloating was gone. I just go'ogled Tilly Strankten's Cyst Guide and now I feel as light and relaxed as I've ever been.
