I actually know the streets they talk about and the "southsiders". Also, a lot of people in my hometown were Chi transplants and I have known people like the Gallaghers. Maybe not to some of the extremes in the show but almost. They would move out of Chicago to get away from the rough neighborhoods and our little town was appealing.

My family was always told we reminded people of the family on shameless and we watched it religiously..we definitely took it as a compliment..we were all crazy but would kill for each other..LOVE Shameless!! 💗💘💛💙💚
