im sixteen, and while unfortunately i totally missed the heyday of radio entertainment, its thanks to people like this that i can enjoy a small part of what used to be.
Hi - there are lots of different kinds of radio plays on BBC radio 4 or 4extra. some of them are here on UA-cam - including Journey into Space - i love the early ones. :}
I love that the writer (in 1956) had the crew take far more precautions before landing on a new planet than the crew of Star Trek ever did! 😎 Also- a female commander in 1956 and great creativity in regard to "unknown life forms"! Well done!
Oh, priceless, priceless! Put on captions for the last few seconds of the credits. The story was great, the acting great, but the captioning gave me the best laugh I've had in a really long time. :D
yes, always a thumbs down. I like it, when I run across that rare individual who hasn't any of the Star Wars movies and feels the need to "brag" about it.
I hear you, although I am hard put to regard "Star Wars" as Sci Fi, even though it DOES have Science Fiction components in it, I tend to see it more as "Fantasy"...Star Trek (TOS,TNG,Voyager & Enterprise) on the other hand is more Sci Fi. My point being, that they have little in common, but both are great. As you say those who grew up during the heydays of these shows, would have to be "crazy" to not like them. What's not to like?

I like to ask those who don't like Star Wars or Star Trek
"What planet are YOU from?".
