What you guys doing is really a gem! Going to Part of China that are not glitz and glamour!
Me personally truly believe Chinese government is trying to preserves these if you may call not totally become Han whose are ethnically closer to Southeast Asians Thai, Myanmar or Laos, they are making the same effort for minorities like Tajik or Uyghur peoples that UA-camrs travel there have shown!
Sadly because of Western narratives, what you guys showing like that of party official making efforts to lift these people out of poverty are chalk off as CPC propaganda not a genuine efforts!
After all it's in Chinese government interest not left these peoples behind when the rest of the country becomes so prosperous, or there would be discontent and rebellion like that of in Xinjiang a decade ago! The separatist element in Xinjiang was put down with not the most humane method that Western media capitalized on to demonize Chinese government, I do believe that they can unify Chinese minorities in autonomous region you were at or Xinjiang and Tibet region to think of themself as "Chinese" and reject separatist elements! Even though some of those efforts may seem too commercialize with heavy tourism lean, nevertheless, intention are goods to give these peoples source of income! And was proven effective even in mainstream region of China economically!

even in the most rural area of China, it's still safe, clean and organized. you can see the road, electricity and 5G network everywhere. much respect to the young guys who work in the village. some of them are graduated students from university, some of them have good skills from the mega city. BTW in China under the anti-poverty project from central GOV. for every advanced city, they will be assigned some most poor counties or villages. the advanced city need assign a team to the villages with skillset people to help the locals get out of poverty. I'm really happy to see them through your lens.

Hi. I rarely do the wow thing to adults as I get my wows from nature, but here you managed it, truly fantastic what you've recorded and experienced. You managed to capture what is rarely seen by Europeans and shown that we aren't so different from each other, just some have lost that simplistic but incredible feeling of together that modernity loses.
The same....vikings hadlkng houses as did anglo saxons where you'd have a huge fire, where you'd have meals, sing and spend time together. And yes to fix issues together. Houses not so long ago in Scandinavia were also built of wood on stone support just like the Dong. The point of course is we as humans are not so different ,the singing showed this, I experienced the same but by men as only they could sing these songs due to them being about love for a woman.
Your title is perfect as you ARE so lucky as are we to share it, you holiday like myself but do it on a larger map scale and lighter :) I cannot believe so few follow your exploits of which on a personal note I wish your viewer ship can grow so you can experience more and others can see that we are not so different like media depicts. So thank you and Good travels of joy. Oh and never thanked someone for content shown. 谢谢

In order to cope with the cold weather in southern China, I think you can buy an electric hot water bag (very cheap and practical, also not more than 10 dollars, usually in the roadside grocery stores can be seen, you can ask, when you go out can be warm, you can also put on the bed when you sleep), and warm clothing is very necessary (roadside clothing stores can also be easily purchased, usually not more than 10 U.S. dollars a piece, wear). You can easily buy them at roadside clothing stores for less than $10 a piece, and they will keep you very warm.)
I highly recommend thermals, and if you are going to buy them, make sure you choose the ones with a fleece lining, not the regular cotton ones (they are very thin and don't keep you warm)

If you have a sore throat, you can buy some medicine to treat it. It is usually difficult for the throat to heal on its own.
"喉咽清颗粒" is a granule that can effectively treat sore throats. It is likely to be available in drugstores in Chinese towns. I hope it helps you.

    我也是在这样的村子长大,随着经济的高速发展,年轻人大多离开了家乡,这样美丽的村子以后会慢慢荒废,真令人痛心

It's interesting how we don't see anyone interested in seeing the poorest regions of other countries. What would the poorest region of other countries be like?
We must remember that China is a developing country, with a GDP 6 times smaller than the USA.

For us the “wealth” of a place does not define the beauty or interest it holds. We like traveling because we get exposed to different ways of living, and this is the case whether we’re in Spain or China (in fact I would totally recommend going to my family’s village in Spain for the same reasons, but some may consider it a “poor” area). For us this village was especial because we were treated with so much kindness and we were welcomed in a way that usually doesn’t happen in a city. That doesn’t have to be what interests others, but that’s the beauty of different people sharing their experiences: you can always find a channel that shares your interests. 🙂

Thanks! And yeah, we know. The mics were in an incorrect setting throughout our China trip (we've only realized that now). It's a real shame, but hopefully our videos will be better audio wise from now on 🤞

Unfortunately, you are a vegetarian. The Dong ethnic minority settlement in southeastern Guizhou lacks salt, but naturally fermented sour meat is very delicious.

I don't think the translator can accurately translate the dialect of southwest China😈, dialect there is quite different from mandarin

Haha we noticed the translator struggled sometimes, but luckily we figured it out most of the time.
