    Earlier this year I ordered bootlace ferrules, thanks to you I now have double the opportunities to utilize them. Thank you so much for sharing such a simple yet lovely technique. I find your tutorials so relaxing, informative and enjoyable - the perfect way for me to learn.

      Lots of love and glitter, yes as soon as I saw that glue bottle with the tiny nib I thought, 'what can I use to make using the liquid clay easier for more precise things', thank you!

      Teresa Pandora Salgado - Not certain if you also wanted a source for bootlace ferules but just in case you can enter this # on ebay and locate the kit I ordered. Yes, I ordered mine in a box of over 2000 pieces in assorted sizes (in a box). I am working to create unusual cutters using my jewelry pliers so the surplus will allow me to discard mistakes. Also that page usually includes smaller quantities.

    I have to share this. Thankfully I did proofread my previous post prior to sending it. Somehow between whatever I typed and Spellchecker my post stated 'bootyface' in lieu of boot lace. Not my intended word but I admit it did make me think of Val Evans aka Unruly Housewife. I almost sprayed hot tea everywhere. That made me think of her recent blown egg/exploded egg video. I needed that humorous break. Thankfully I am easily entertained.

      Luisa Heaton, thank you, my daughter's site is: www.tarafowler.stampinup.net and the boot lace Ferrell I got from eBay, you can get them from Amazon too, just use the description in either site. Glad you enjoyed it.

      Thanks tjaysilver. I have the boot lace ferrells (a gift from a loving family!!) but I just used them as cutters. Good to find a new use for them! I'll look up your dtr's site.

    Great video!!! Loved your tip, literally! Lol have you tried this with alcohol inks? The colors would be even more vibrant. I could see it reversed, where the dots stay white but the rest is colored!!

      Tamara Crum, thank you, I do use alcohol inks and yes I think they would also be great, just found with the water based inks they stayed in place better especially on a slightly curved area, also they give a softer look great for the summer. I will add alcohol ink to the liquid and also do some pendants. So many possibilities with this medium, love it!

      tjaysilver lol. Sometimes too many possibilities. Lol

      Tamara Crum, yes that is why I love polymer clay so much, I have tried it with alcohol pens and it works great, just like the softer look with the water based inks and maybe someone has some and don't realise they do still work on clay.

    I have clear liquid polymer glue. Do you know if there is any way I can colour it? I love your work by the way!

    • @tjaysilver
      @tjaysilver  7 років тому

      Eileen Hollington, thank you, not sure if you mean 'glue or clay' either way you could try alcohol inks, just a drop at first let it stand then mix it and keep adding until you achieve the colour you desire. I haven't used inks in the liquid clay yet but they should be fine, just test a little first.

      Sorry. I'm new to all this and got my terminology wrong! I actually have the Sculpey translucent liquid clay, which might be a different animal altogether ha ha. Still, I'll try with alcohol inks and see what I get. Thank you
