This is the introduction video from the new set of quick tutorials, dedicated to game level texturing in Blender and Unity.
What is it about?
We'll discover how to texture the scene using what can be called 'megatexture' approach. One model, 1 big texture, that's all!
Rather unconventional technique (parts of the model can't be reused), but still has its pros. Like artistic freedom and great performance - only 1 drawcall in Unity.

I hope that newer games come with better textures with great tessellation and diffuse mapping. I would like a brick wall looking like an actual brick wall, not a solid flat canvas with drawings on it that make it look like a brick wall.

Dude, great tutorial but for the love of god DELETE EDGE LOOPS. It's at the bottom of the delete menu and does it in one go instead of dissolving twice.

So just add pictures to a 3d surface? But then how to i move that "texture" to another object. I can't find anywhere showing how to make an actual texture just how to texture one specific 3d object.

Thx for the help thx to you I even made a game called L.N.D living nano Droids. And you can make a man are women you can teleport and you died but came back you can control all elements including electricity and fire and become any elemental thing look up project awakened I got my ideas from that my game Ideas lvls from you.
