My friend, you have made the correct choice.
I have owned all three of the “hot hatches”. I bought a brand new 2018 Civic Type-R and loved the car. Its very fast and has amazing handles.
I traded in my Civic Type-R for a 2018 STI because I moved up north and needed the AWD. The STI was so boring compared to my Type-R. It felt slow and clunky. It felt old. It just wasn’t exciting at all. It was so boring that I sold it outright just to get rid of it.
1 month later I bought a gray 2017 Focus RS. (Just like yours) This car is by far the best of the three cars. Its the fastest. Its the most fun, especially with the exhaust pops. I think its the best looking out of the 3. You can tell that it means business but its not too boy racer like the type r and sti.
I would rank the cars like this
    1. Ford Focus RS
    2. Honda Civic Type-R
    3. Subaru WRX STI
You made the right decision my man. You are going to love this car!

      Dear Creezin
I am about to trade in my type r for a RS.
Everyone says the ride in RS is horrible. Would you say it is significantly worst than the +R mode in type r?

@@gordonyip8415 The rs does ride a bit rough but i wouldn’t say its “horrible”. The suspension is tight, as it should be in a car like this. I daily drive mine on West Virginia back roads and have no problem. If you are a car guy the ride wont bother you in the slightest and everything good about the car will make you smile. Hope this helps!

      @@creezin Thanks Bro!
Does RS pull harder and give you a bigger smile than the R?

Hey man I have been following along in your videos so far and it seems that our backgrounds are pretty similar. Drove my friends manual for fun and now looking for a manual daily... I am actually looking into a 17 Focus RS like yours but I wanted to ask have you had any reliability issues so far? I know it's not a Toyota but honestly for me I kinda would like to have all wheel drive without rod knock, lol subarus, which is why I wanted to ask about your experience so far owning a RS.

Hey man, thanks for following along and watching my videos. I greatly appreciate your support! So I’ve pretty much have had no issues with my RS since I bought. I did have to replace a few minor things about 3 months ago (coolant tank, purge valve, valve cover) but other than that it’s been rock solid. Other RS owners I know have said theirs is rock solid as well. Obviously just maintain regular maintenance, like you would with any other car, and you won’t have any issues with it!
