I was a soldier I did three tours both theaters. I was a combat engineer and got the full combat experience. No one has darker humor than combat troops. Humor becomes the way to compartmentalize and cope with the horror of war. We need to be able to laugh at reality sometimes rather than dwell on it. Laughter allows us to accept the tragedy and move onto our next mission. Keep allowing us to laugh at each other and ourselves. Thank you for what you do!
