The USC Trojan Marching Band performing their Fight Song at the 128th Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade on Monday, January 2, 2017.
My Band! Proud alumna, transplanted to Northern California so I miss the goosebumps that only the Greatest Marching Band in the Universe can give. Fight On, USC Trojans!
I never get tired of listening to the USC fight song! It still reminds me of Rose Bowl games back in the 1960's when USC was in the big game almost every year against Ohio State or Michigan. In addition to the USC band, the legendary Curt Gowdy would give a knowledgeable and enthusiastic play-by-play which would just add to how great the Rose Bowl was back then!

The Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl Game are on my bucket list. I just wish it was more affordable.

It is not a Rose Parade without hearing "Fight On"
They play it because they're trying to draw attention away from their crooked rank and file lines.

I love the Notre Dame Marching band And the award winning Notre Dame Victory march.But I Also love the Spirit of troy & Fight on.I think ND"s & USC'S are the Two best in all the World.Go Irish & Fight On.Just Saying.

Their not to concerned about keeping the ranks in order I thought my eyes were bad the lines are not straight (referring to usc trojan band)

Feel lucky that they decided to have woodwinds at all. Some bands are only brass and drums, like Ohio. Personally, I think it makes the band end on a sweet note with those flutes.
Their lines aren't very straight...

Did they play the same 15 seconds of music the entire parade?
We played our minute long fight song, "Fight On," repeatedly just for the stretch of television cameras, (about 15 minutes,) and then switched between drum cadence, "Tribute to Troy" and "Fight On" for the rest of the parade.
The USC brain is limited to memorizing 16 bars of music.
Actually, we are completely capable of memorizing a vast amount of musical repertoire for halftime shows, gigs, concerts, and various film and television performances. We only choose to play the same "16 bars" over and over again because we love our school fight songs, our team loves our school fight songs, and we also love to hear losers like you complain about it. :) Fight on, Larry!
