Watching this channel and exotics lair has helped me soooo much, but I still can handle the spiders around my house mainly black widows. I live in New Mexico and we get them so bad. Oh and massive wolf spiders. Ew but like orb weaver spiders are always welcome in my garden as well as little wild jumping spiders.
So I use a needle felting needle, it’s super fine and I heat them in a candle to poke holes in my sling and egg sac enclosures and never once have I had anyone escape and then I don’t have to use any tape or anything else, so just a tip in case it helps at all❤
It's funny how certain spiders freaked me out, but I've always loved jumping spiders. They are absolutely adorable with such personalities. I actually had a jumping spider that lived between my window panes in my bathroom. I would catch flies for it and put them in between the panes for it to hunt. Love your channel and can't wait to get a pet jumping spider of my own.
I have 3 velvet females. Not planning to pair them cause I heard that after the slings comes out the mother offer herself as food for them! Unless you take the eggsack away. Also I had a fourth velvet which molted and she and Sabrina where in same enclosure. Sabrina ate her! I was very sad so I don't put my velvets together anymore
Can you just do a live feed with the communal and just keep it on? So many times I am up with insomnia and search for things to watch while the world sleeps. A 24/7 live feed would be so amazing💙💙. Congratulations btw. You're a grand ma ma ma ma ma....I could keep going. 😂

Dang will have to come over from KC if you ever do sell any. I feel lucky as hell to have gotten one from Tom almost minutes before they sold out this past month. I'm fairly sure the velvet ladybug spiderlings do eventually consume the mother she will literally take care of them until it kills her then they eat her
I have a 20gal community tank with an electric blue crayfish (Procambarus alleni) and have had zero issues with aggression. Panda corydora, killifish, an appropriate size pleco. I only struggle with some live plants, Obi-Wan (the crayfish) is a landscaper at heart, unfortunately hes not very good at it😂

I'm in the same boat. My Regal had babies that I'm not really sure what I'll do with. I want to keep a few and when they get bigger I'll probably offer some to my friends, but I don't think there will be much (if any interest). 😬😅 Since they're native to where I live, worst case I could release them. But I may see if the person I purchased the mother from wants them.

Idk if you know this but Wednesday may die because of the egg sack velvets spiders regurgitate their insides into the egg sack to feed their babies and eventually die the only way to stop this is to take her egg sack from her so she’ll survive
Not to my/ any vendor or keeper knowledge actually and no one has come forward either, but if so it was deff not this species 😊 the only person I know to produce them in captivity was Jeremie in the UK! Super cool to be the first of hopefully more - but it’s hard to find mature adults here still so will likely be a while before the chance comes again for anyone else.

The particular species that Wednesday and her boyfriend are, they're believed not to cannibalise the mother unlike some other species

@@bethmays88 I think Wednesday is a Gandanameno velvet spider and may not be the same as the ladybug 🐞 type …. I could be wrong though.
