Do you have anything for platycryptus undatus (tan jumping spider)? I'm struggling with mine. I tried everything. Eventually I had to release 1 (native to my area) and the other is starting to act like the 1st one did... Reduced activity, not wanting to eat, starting to act scared of everything. I'm thinking I might need to release her back where I caught her from. She has plenty of lighting for about 12 hours, her house is about 80°F and appropriately sized (she seemed to love it when I put her in it, she has a hide that she doesn't use, sticks to crawl around on, a little feeder dish, I lightly mist the side as needed... My audaxes (bold jumpers - 2 adults, 2 slings) seems just fine though. So I'm confused 😢
Hey Kat, the 2nd male looks like a Victorian Villain, i could imagine him in a black top hat With a silver topped walking cane, so, i think you should call him Moriarty! 🖤💜🖤💜🖤
I love how two were working hard, and one was just relaxing...As if they're saying to each other Hey why aren't you helping? And the other was just like yeah... That move really took it outta me!!😂❤
"I don't know if I can explain how big these are" * Spooder turns and regards you candidly * Don't worry, I was able to see! They are GIANT compared to the North American ones!! They are as big or bigger then your thumb nail, so that is ENORMOUS. lolololol
Tarantula Kat, I used to keep these to jumping spider species. Both these are more difficult species to keep. You have to keep the temps relatively high. I’d say 75 to 80 range and humidity at 75%to 85%. Love the video and good luck.
I love jumping spiders but that last male gave me the creeps haha The velvets are adorable and the way they communicate with eachother is even more adorable!
Bigger spiders… bigger jumps! They are amazing and so interesting. The last jumping spider looks like Darth Vader. The velvet spiders are just so cute. I love the way they interact with each other. Your enclosures just keep getting better. Great video, as always.
I just found out they existed the other day but couldn't really see how big they were on google searches. They're massive! Such a cool video. I've been using your channel to get more comfortable and learn more about spiders because they terrify me.
Seeing the jumpers at a distance better translates their size. To me, at least. They are soooo cool though. But I'll stick with normal jumpies. I feel like their giant size (and lack of fluff) takes away from their puppiness. But they are super neat looking!!
The Velvet Spiders running around smacking each other like "oops sorry Steve didn't mean to poke you in the eye." "its alright, lots of traffic on this tiny road today am i right." lol love them
The first jumping spider I ever held was a female Hyllus Diardi. I was sold right away and determined to overcome my fear of spiders. I still hope to have a Hyllus in my own collection one day, they are rare in the Netherlands. Your stegodyphus are so cute.🥰
Last male giant Jumper looked like Darth Vader lol love it!!! So awesome I can’t wait to continue seeing updates on all of them!!! Love your channel so much lol you and Dark Den are my favs
I love those giant jumpers, I remember seeing a video of a really big male a long time ago and couldn’t really find much else on it at the time. Nice to see them again!! I think it’s truly amazing just how emotive the big eyes and movements on jumpers make them look. When I handle wild jumpers from time to time, I find myself absolutely enamored with the way they just… stare at you. Even if they’re most likely not aware of it they’re somehow always able to find your eyes and nothing feels as weirdly special as this tiny little creature the size of a fingernail suddenly making eye contact with you. Without fail!
OMG!!! Jumping spiders are soo adorable! I was at a reptile expo today and almost bought one. Regreting it now:( But I have the contact information and will reach out to the breeder soon. Where do you get all the cute shelves and hides you add to your enclosures?
These videos really help my arachnaphobia, its finally getting less intense. I have my daughter name any spiders we find so she can think of them as house pets we leave alone so she won't develop the same phobia hopefully! I would love to try keeping a north american jumping spider to progress myself, but my hubby would kill me lol
OMG I love the jumping spiders. If Jumping spiders this size could be stable in the hobby, that would be awesome. I've always wanted a large-size Jumper now there might be hope in the future.
Omg 😲 proving that adorable villans don't just exist in animation. Cause that last jumping spider 🕷 definitely trying to pull off being being the tough guy but can also get away with way to much like an adorable yet naughty toddler. 😂. Cutest vilan ever. ❤
I love your videos, and I remember that horrible unboxing that happened. I am so happy to see you had a wonderful unboxing this time. Love you and your spiders. Ty Tom! ❤️
Holy moly!!! Considering the biggest jumpers we get here in Aus are probably not much bigger than the smallest you get up your way, those Indonesian ones are frighteningly (in a good way!) HUGE!!! Love the communals!!! One my setups is a semi-social tarantula Coremiocnemis sp, all slings. When the 11 of them arrived, it was such an amazing experience seeing em all happily together! A few months later and only two confirmed losses when rehousing, they are doing well, even sometimes see more than one poking out a burrow entrance! So, enjoy the special experience that are communals! 🥰
Oh man that male, Scar, scared me wheb he jumped and i wasnt even there. I have arachnaphobia but have been working on it. I have jumping spiders and tarantulas and that guy scared me more then any of them have lol
My dream spider !!! I’ve been trying so hard to get one , absolutely beautiful , if anyone gets one I’d love love love 💕 I’m a falconer (hunts with hawks) and new to spiders about 3 years ago , jumpers are absolutely my favorite , but these are my dream ❤
I am at work. I was doing my cleaning when this spider was just sitting there on the floor. Then I realized it was this cute little jumping spider. I visited with the spider and put him or her outside in a plant. It was so cute. I live 45 min from St. Louis.
😂 scar lolol...i was thinking more like Merlin...he had such a wizardy look...def used his sorcery on u with them eyes 😂 ...huge jumping spiders...so pretty
My gosh! What a beautiful jumpers! I wonder where did you buy those adorable jumping spiders?! Also, I am Deaf and I am very fan of you! You are so awesome with your beautiful pets! I love that you are showing amazing care and love toward all of your beautiful pets!
6:54 so years ago I used to be extremely arachnophobic, one day I seen this huge spider that looked like that one. I knocked it down and when i left and came back it wasn't there and everyone thought I was crazy. Now i can show them that some jumping spider species DO get big.
I think a cute name for a pair of the jumping spiders would be Morticia and Gomez! I personally like the idea of the last jumping spider male you unboxed to be Gomez since he’s the coolest in my opinion!
Beautiful diardis, Kat, congrats! Mine unfortunately passed because I didn’t follow the temperature/humidity recommendations so lesson learned! Good luck!
I think even if you follow the temp/humidity advice rumored there’s still a 50/50 chance of long term since they’re usually older and WC - so don’t feel bad
Kat I just bought 2 of the new 12 inch cubes from Tarantula Cribs. I used your code for 10% off. I can't wait until these cubes come in! I'm super hyped up. Thanks for the coupon code.
Where do you purchase your enclosures? I have seen they type your using before. I love the removable sliding front door. I love how you decorated the enclosures.
I am Fascinated with Spiders, though most of them are creepy for me, I respect them. However I LOVE Jumping Spydies!! They are just so Cute! Their eyes really have it going for them.. I would acctually try holding one with my bare hands, if I get the chance.. I could not do that with any other spider, even a tarantula.. I have seen that they are rather curious and kind of want to know humans who hold them and even quite intellegent. That last big black one kinda reminds me of Shelob from J.R.R. Tolkeins Lord of the Rings and the big female is like Ungoliant from his Silmarilion!
I love jumpin spiders n i can’t believe they can grow up to be gigantic in said uploaded vid n I love the velvet spiders communal song I danced to it XD
Thank you Tom Patterson from Hardcore Arachnids for providing these new guys to the channel! Check out his website here - www.hardcorearachnids.com

How is Wednesday doing? And her eggsack?
Hey Kat, the 2nd male looks like a Victorian Villain, i could imagine him in a black top hat With a silver topped walking cane, so, i think you should call him Moriarty! 🖤💜🖤💜🖤
Those velvet spiders are so cute! I love how they wave their arms around, greeting their buddies.
"Hey, it's me! :D"
"Oh hey! It's you! :D"
It's like a spooder rave!!
They look like dancing pussywillow buds.
I love how two were working hard, and one was just relaxing...As if they're saying to each other Hey why aren't you helping? And the other was just like yeah... That move really took it outta me!!😂❤
Agree! My son watched this with me and we speculated about whether spiders tickle each other or not. 😂
I just wish they knew how cute they were.
Up until now I didn't know giant jumping spiders existed! I want some now!
same
Hyllus giganteus. My friend
Literally how most people see tarantulas: a house
How I see tarantulas: smol baby
The way these velvet spiders wiggle their front legs is the cutest thing ever, I love them so much!
"What have you done in your life?"
"He also looks like he's gonna betray Mufasa."
Omg Kat, you're so funny! 😂
"I don't know if I can explain how big these are" * Spooder turns and regards you candidly * Don't worry, I was able to see! They are GIANT compared to the North American ones!! They are as big or bigger then your thumb nail, so that is ENORMOUS. lolololol

Thank you. I was hoping someone would point this out. They also need a bioactive enclosure, lighting and warmth to go with the humidity.
I love jumping spiders but that last male gave me the creeps haha
The velvets are adorable and the way they communicate with eachother is even more adorable!
Love!!!!! Jumpers have always been my fave, but those Velvets.... Omg, I can't. Their faces! 😍
Hyllus species are awesome, that size for a jumper! And those velvet spiders, aw, how cute😍☺.
Bigger spiders… bigger jumps! They are amazing and so interesting. The last jumping spider looks like Darth Vader. The velvet spiders are just so cute. I love the way they interact with each other. Your enclosures just keep getting better. Great video, as always.

BEST unboxing! The giant jumping spiders are just the coolest, and the communal velvets are SO CUTE AHH!
"He looks like a villain! What have you done in your life?" 🤣🤣🤣 Such cool spiders!

Those are some jumpers I would definitely be interested in, so nice! Great video ✨
That was ABSOLUTELY the Darth Vader of Jumping Spiders
The Velvet Spiders running around smacking each other like "oops sorry Steve didn't mean to poke you in the eye." "its alright, lots of traffic on this tiny road today am i right." lol love them
I can't wait to see more of them giant jumping spiders I didn't know they were a thing until now

Scar is the first jumping spider that has ever intimidated me before. When he jumped, I jumped a little. 😂
You are the reason I got into jumping spiders …and now something tells me velvet spiders 😂
These enclosures are so gorgeous. Makes me want to get a jumping spider of my own.
I love giant jumping spiders, it's awesome seeing them in your collection.
I love those giant jumpers, I remember seeing a video of a really big male a long time ago and couldn’t really find much else on it at the time. Nice to see them again!!

All of his H. giganteus are wild caught, aren't they? I hope they're bred in the hobby soon! And cheaper! 💘
The big black jumping spider looks like it has vampire wings. Lol
Hopefully getting 4 new jumping spiders on Fri so extra excitement over a Kat spider video now!
So glad you got communal velvets!!❤️🌺
Oh my gosh, all of them are so incredible!
OMG I love the jumping spiders. If Jumping spiders this size could be stable in the hobby, that would be awesome. I've always wanted a large-size Jumper now there might be hope in the future.
I remember the original video and how devastating that was. So glad they came in okay! So cute! ❤
Great video as always, Kat! ^^ Btw, I was wondering how your dumpster tarantula has been doing as I didn't see much else of your content about it.
Omg 😲 proving that adorable villans don't just exist in animation. Cause that last jumping spider 🕷 definitely trying to pull off being being the tough guy but can also get away with way to much like an adorable yet naughty toddler. 😂. Cutest vilan ever. ❤

The first velvet spider waving her arms wildly shall be called, "Battle Axe"
I love your setups and your jumpers! I want some now haha!

The Giant Jumpers have the most expressive eyes!
Hey, Kat, how long can the Velvet Spiders stay in the same encloser, or will you need to move them out into their own encloser later on?
I am at work. I was doing my cleaning when this spider was just sitting there on the floor. Then I realized it was this cute little jumping spider. I visited with the spider and put him or her outside in a plant. It was so cute. I live 45 min from St. Louis.
Hey I was wondering something. Is it ok if I go outside and get one? I’ve seen others do it but I wanted to see your opinion!
The jumping spiders faces are so cute, they almost look like people, hahaha
😂 scar lolol...i was thinking more like Merlin...he had such a wizardy look...def used his sorcery on u with them eyes 😂 ...huge jumping spiders...so pretty

As a Long Islander (where Tom Patterson is from lol), it's a funny "easter egg" to see Newsday pop in your video haha. Great video as usual!
Kat I just bought 2 of the new 12 inch cubes from Tarantula Cribs. I used your code for 10% off. I can't wait until these cubes come in! I'm super hyped up. Thanks for the coupon code.
All I hear from the velvet spiders is “slap, slap, slap, slap” 😂😂
Where do you purchase your enclosures? I have seen they type your using before. I love the removable sliding front door. I love how you decorated the enclosures.

That last black male should be named VADER or DARTH
Beautiful little jumpers 😲👌
Great video kat glad they all got to you safely xx
I used to be terrified of spiders but your videos make me less scared of them (I also want little jumpies now and big jumpers XD)
Looks like the last male jumping spider has a built in mustache 😂
5:45 Holy crap that thing is HUGE (For a J_S)
OMG they are so big and beautiful!
Hyllus sp. jumping spiders have such cute faces.
With the moustache he is definitely Pai Mei from kill bill 2
