The BEST BEACH FISHING We've Caught On Camera!
For this latest episode we’re back on the beach and back fishing one of our favourite spots in North Norfolk, and for once, things went rather well...
To find out a exactly how we got on watch the latest episode from the waters edge…
As usual we hope you enjoy it and any feedback is always much appreciated.
Tight Lines
From The Waters Edge TV
I like the fact you put them back. Most sea anglers seem to kill everything unless times have changed.
I do keep the odd fish for the table, but the missus don't really like it so we don't have it that often! Haha.
@@FromTheWatersEdgeTV Fair enough. I used to take eels home for my mum.
Cracking session Chris ,thought fish number three was going give you a kiss goodbye .Take care.
Cheers Terry! Haha, I know... they have a habit of doing that! :-D
Wonderful session, they don't come along too often. Always a good watch. Tight lines
Thanks Andy. :-)
Great session Chris made my night to see that smile on your face!

One of those special days hey. Can't get over the size of the pectoral fins.in this video, pretty sharks those hounds, thanks
It was indeed mate, just a shame they don't come around more often! Haha. They're pretty fish too, definitely up there as one of my favourites.
Well done lads, cracking little session and Pete’s bait is the best in Norfolk !
Thanks as always mate. The bait has always been tip top too. :-)
Great vid as usual
Thanks Kevin!
Great fishing. First one at 2:25, is a female Common Smooth hound (Mustelus mustelus). The other at 9:45 is a male Starry Smooth hound (Mustelus asterias). The white dots give it away ;) .. The last one at 16:30 is a female Starry Smooth hound. Male sharks have claspers on the anal fins, you can see the claspers on the male Starry at 9:55. Here in Southern Australia we also have a species of these sharks, we call them Gummy sharks (Mustelus antarcticus). The fish and chip trade call the fillets 'flake'. Excellent eating.
Thanks mate!
What a great video mate really enjoyed it some nice smooth hamster really cheered me up that did
Thanks for the kind comments mate, glad you enjoyed it. :-)
Well done guys!!! Some good fish there!! 👌
Cheers mate!
Great fishing lovely to watch

Some incredible fish there.

Chris, Great fishing well done, I fished that beach on the up tide this Thursday afternoon, one flounder, one weaver, one sea bream never caught one before, great bite and to end one very small bass, loads of weed which spoilt the session. Back next week for another go. Again great videos keep them coming Boi as they say in Norfolk.
Haha, thanks Bob! Hope you've been catching a few Boi. ;-)
Greetings from Hungary !! Wonderful movie.Beautiful pictures, it makes it especially exciting to be a dangerous predator of a shark.
Thanks mate! Nice to hear from you all the way over in Hungary too! Hope you've been catching a few fish. :-)
That jumpers lasting well lol great session
Haha, it is indeed mate! :-D Might treat myself to a new one for the winter. ;-)

Hello, just wondered if you have ever fished in Lancashire Morecambe bay, if you come up it would be a pleasure to take you out on the boat for plaice and bass
Tell tyson fury il be round to see him soon... Give him what for... 🥊 💥
I haven't mate, but perhaps one day! Thanks for the offer too. :-)
Nice video Chris 🎣 😊. That's why we go fishing Never knowing what , what's going to be on the end of your line 😜👍🎣
Thanks as always Andy and you're 100% right there, you just never know whats going to turn up!
So they do exist ! Fished that beach Wednesday afternoon Into the night. Tide out and back in = Blank. 🙈
That's spurred me on to try again. Great video guys. 👍
Chris Capewell is it trimingham?
Haha, they do Chris! I feel your pain though, had fished 2-3 times previous to that in great conditions with only small schoolies to show for my efforts! It's all about timing 99% of the time.
Great video mate
Cheers Lance!
Always love the production on your videos guys, second to none. Oh yeah and also the fishing :). Any chance of going after some monster bass? #belucky
Cheers James, glad you're enjoying the videos! :-) Definitely on the Bass front too, Autumn's a good time for the big'uns so I think we'll pencil a couple of trips in for them. Haha, be lucky too - hope you've been catching a few!
There the sessions that justify all the money youve spent on tackle and all the time and effort put in,great fishing and some good fish, sound video pal, cheers.
It is indeed mate - shame they don't come around more often! Haha. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for taking the time to drop us a comment. :-)

Thanks Dave! And yes, we have been trying too. :-)

Tight lines lads
Hello Rhys! Hope you're well mate, good to see you're smashing out the videos too - always an entertaining watch! You're right about the Hounds, great sport throughout the spring and summer months. :-D
Cracking session, when do the hounds tend to show up in the year
Thanks mate! Ummm normally end of spring and into summer. May, June, July - well certainly here in Norfolk. 😊🎣
@@FromTheWatersEdgeTV thank you so much for reply, Im hoping to come sometime in june and stay a few days , does the sea reach right up to the cliffs or not I dont really want to worry about being cut off as plan to fish the beach on a very long session, probably all the way down and back up lol, tyvm again
well played dudes, i'm very envious
Thanks mate!
Well in mate good angling best fighting fish on the east coast I think tight lines 🎣
Thanks mate and definitely, they're certainly one of my favourite species!
Well done fella for catching the hounds ,I went hound fishing for the first time last night and just caught weed 😭.plus big respect to you the way you handle the and return the fish .
Thanks for the kind comments mate, glad you enjoyed the video!
Get more sea fishing videos up please Chris its what seperates the men from the boys 🤣
Haha, one coming for you tomorrow evening David! ;-)
Great video nice smooth hound
Thanks mate!
Same up in Cumbria with the hounds they can be in on one tide and the next they're off somewhere else. Still trying to get my first three years later Ive been very unlucky, I won't give up though.
Keep going mate!
Nice fish well done mate
Thanks Simon. :-)
It's funny watching you reel them in really slowly, is it just sand you are fishing on? I have to crank like a mad man here in the Watchet/minehead area. Good stuff!
Yes mate, just sand really. I've seen a few video's from around your area, it's certainly a bit different from some of our beaches! :-D
Nice to see that smiling face. Well done you
Haha, cheers Jim!
What was he rig Chris.?
A pulley something..can you show us that I more detail mate...😂
A great video and a great rig none the less lads, some nice hounds there
Tight lines for the next one
Si 🎣🐟😊
Thanks as alway Simon, glad you enjoyed it! Haha, I think they call it a pulley pennel or something, I'm not too familiar with that particular rig though. :-D
Deadly fishing Chris good stuff and I’m on on the first fish
Thanks David!
Just to let you know mate your missing the ceramic out of the 4th eye. Also what reels are on them rods please
Thanks Chloe, I know.. I'm in desperate need of some new rods really, these have been well and truly battered! They're Greys GRX-s rods and Penn 525 MAG II Multipliers.
Great session and some nice fish 👍 what reels are you using they look smooth to cast
Thanks mate! They're some old Penn 525 Mags.
Great video buddy... you just catch hound? why is that? bait? thanks
Thanks Luis! In the spring/summer when fishing crab you'll mainly catch Smoothound, however you'll often get Bass and Flounders mixed in too.
I fancy a go on the lincolnshire cost for the hounds cheers mate
Definitely worth a go mate, such brilliant sport if you catch them right!
I can't help it but the second fish..... "why you hitting yourself, why you hitting yourself" 🤣 🤣
Hahahaha! :-D
How far was you casting the crab out?
Between 80 and 100 yards I guess mate! I'm not great caster.
@@FromTheWatersEdgeTV yea thats about my range as well. Looking forward to next year now I'm really gunner give it a good go!
Looking at the colour of the water there and catching smoothies is strange to me as up here on the holderness the water has to be chocolate brown or the hounds won’t show I’ll have to get down there for a session
It's a worth a go when they're 'on' Darren. Although you'd probably pass better beaches on your way down to us! Haha. Hope you have a good run of Codling up your way this winter. :-)
Fab vid
Cheers mate.
i think i heard someone saying you damage the insides grabbing em by the tail
A few people have said that mate, I've replied back to them and thanked them for the feedback.
Do they put up a gd fight
They do indeed mate!
great video however picking them up by their tail can damage their organs
Thanks Richie, cheers for the feedback too. :-)
nice video as usall pal
Cheers Chris!
Great video mate....but please don't pick em up by the tail, they can do all sorts of damage to the internals and spine when they writhe around.
Thanks Tony! Your feedback is much appreciated too, I only done it for a split second, but appreciate that you're saying, thanks.
Where’s this?
North Norfolk Matt.
I like from indonesia brather🕺
Nice to hear from you all the way over in Indonesia! Glad you enjoyed the video and hope you've been catching a few fish too. :-)
Great session .....just one thing please done tail them as it stretches their insides .....and can kill them
Cheers Stuart, glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the feedback too. :-)
Be nice to know what fish they are your catching and info on them .I don't know to much about sea fishing .they looked like sharks lol
Great vid bye the way.Thank you
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the video! The fish we were catching were Smoothound and yes, they are small sharks!
👍👍👍
Cheers Gregory!
Great catch however, please never lift them up just by the tail, you could cause internal organ damage. Don't believe me, look it up.
Cheers Lee, glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the feedback too. :-)
Good fishing but never never haul them out of the sea by the tail!!!!just pick them up from behind the head then surport the weight by picking up the tail with your other hand......
Thanks Kevin, cheers for the feedback too. :-)
Can you eat houndshark?
You can do mate, yeah! They're known as Rock in our chip shops.
Bring back the carp fishing 😴
Hahahaha! :-D
Tope
I've only ever caught one small Tope, would definitely like to target them in the future tho!
