Is it easier to just replace the carburetor than to rebuild it on a small engine? I mean I've rebuilt four wheeler carburetors but never have worked on a small engine as such

I would say 80% of them str cheaper to replace than rebuild. But you can always try a rebuild because you have nothing to lose.

You didn’t connect the fuel line to the carb. Must be hard to do.

It sits in place so when you push ths carb on it slides on. It requires no effort.
