I’ve had this model for three years and had zero issues with heavy use. It cuts heavy wet grass and lays some beautiful stripes. Has a lower center of gravity and really holds the hills. Everything about it has been well thought out and backed by a company that will be around to service it. The one item mentioned about the height adjustment being jammed with grass is a user maintenance issue. This mower just gets the job done without a fuss.

I bought a used one of these, I have 2 hours of seat time on it, but it works great so far.

That's why I bought one today. I have a ZG127S model that I've used now for 8 years with 250 hrs and the one thing I hate about mine are the hills. I go up steep hills better than going down. Down, whoa Nellie! I have mostly clay for soil and I slip quite a bit now on this 127S so I have to either let it do it's thing which means I slide in an irregular cut or I fight it going downhill by pulling back on one side hoping it's enough to counteract the sliding. I borrowed my brother-in-law's new 781 with a 54 in deck (the 726 I bought has a 60 in cut) and I loved how hills didn't even bother it. The salesman said the 726 is pretty much the same model outside of the EFI, which really I don't have to have and it's cheaper. So I'm happy to read that you mentioned the lower center of gravity and how it handles hills.

Mine is a 2015 Kubota Z724 54inch deck....it's a beast ! Am not likely to get another brand. I mow commercially part time and I do all my own service regularly. It has and continues to serve me well. It's one of those 'best investments' I've made throughout my life (at 67 years young age). I have absolutely no issues with it.

If anyone is still paying attention to this video, this is a great mower. Plenty of power and great cut. The cut height issues are caused by improper cleaning. All the nit picky issues raised in this video are simply improper care. I've been mowing commercially with this exact model for two years and I've tackled some bad yards with no issues. Take care of it and it will serve you well. Lower price point than equivalent emark and jd models also

I totally agree. Mine is a 2015 54 inch model and runs as good as it did on day one!!

I have this mower and don't know if the issue is common to all zero turn mowers, Kubota or this particular model but if you use it on clumpy field, this machine will beat the crap out of you.
The machine rides like it has no suspension.
It's like riding an old go-cart.
My other issue is the cut quality. It leaves a somewhat uncut line of grass. I had bought new blades and had my guys install them but it did not fully solve the problem. Maybe they did something wrong but I would assume that Kubota made it idiot proof so that the blades go only one way.
Power. It definitely could use a bit more. When I get into a field with thick, knee high grass the mower cannot handle it.
Other than that, it is built pretty tough. The cutting deck is definitely as thick I had seen.

Hands down one of the best Kubota mowers made. Kawasaki FX801 with Parker hydros you can't go wrong. With a air compressor, you need to blow out the base of connecting rod on the height adjuster, periodically. All mowers that have a adjustment dial are the same way. Certainly not a deal breaker. You were basically scalping ,super thick ,wet grass..There's not a mower out there that would not have bogged down some doing the same thing.

Good job! About three months ago I got myself a 2004 John Deere X575 with a 54 inch mower deck and at the time I bought it it had 490 hours on it. Now I have almost 536 hours on it. It is awesome machine and I can't believe how fast it can mow compared to my dad's Wheelhorse 520H garden tractor.

This Kubota 700 series is a good mower. Flat tires & a nut falling off 1 fastener is certainly annoying, but hardly qualifies as a deal breaker or reasons to look at more expensive names. Kubota service in our area is top notch, & I believe when anybody doesn't properly clean equipment, it results in issues. I believe great dealership support is critical to your overall satisfaction. Most cannot grasp how hard our equipment works for us. We unknowingly bring on many problems for ourselves, as we are not fully versed in all aspects from proper operation to maintenance. & especially cleaning & properly greasing these machines. If you think you can do better than Kubota overall in the 700 series, in both safety & robustness? Better get after it. These mowers have a great (& low) CG, & will keep the shiny side up on bad slopes, when others will not.

Do you feel that the 25 hp motor pulls the 60” deck well in heavy grass? Looking hard at the 700 series bota but also the BB rebel with the 35hp motor. Upgrading from a 48” bota 123 thats had chronic problems and the 21hp motor occasionally bogs cutting heavy grass for us.

So you're going to talk about how you're not very good at doing regular maintenance on your mowers and then you're going to make a video about how they underperform? That's pretty much an oxymoron

Great video thanks for that. I am looking for mower model like this but a am stuck between a kubota like you have to a John deere z930m. Price is close but deere is around 1500 more. You said on this video you own a deere personally. Do you have any recommendations for which brand you would prefer ? We mow 6 acres and terrain is somewhat flat but we do have a good grade in the ditch. This mower would be for my mother. Thanks for the input.

Me too. I mow 10 acres just at home. And 8 large properties, no complaints. Hes cutting wet grass, too low. I could bag what hes mowing at the same speed if it was dry.

@@PairOfHounds ya its easy you gotta take off the pto belt just off the clutch there is a 1/2 or 3/8 square drive i cant remember the size. Its been awhile. But take off the foot plate an you will see that square drive its apart of the idler pulley put a ratchet in there an loosen to take off the deck belt an once you do that its the same thing up under the motor by the pto clutch to replace the drive belt.

    Dayum . .. you're really mowing fast ... & wet grass.
I think the nick-pick problems are nothing more than,
    1. Who assembled mower before purchase.
    2. Not cleaning, especially with wet grass build-up.
The chute is a patented Kubota option. It needs to be kept clean to function properly. Blow it off with compressed air. Use a dry lubricant spray on the joints while working lever back & forth. Use a wet lubricant at top of cable, so it migrates down, such as WD40, PB Blaster, CRC, etc. I put a steel protection plate in front of chute, because I almost tore it off😨 and that is a $250-$300 option.
It's hard to hear whether engine bogs down due to whine of 14cc Parker Hydros. Parker Hydros put more power to ground than Hydogear. $11k+Exmark uses them. The Z726X retails for $9700 brand new. Sometimes on sale for $9000k w/0% financing. It has a 6 inch depth 7ga.deck, low center of gravity with 11.?gallon fuel tank extending down under seat to keep weight low & centered. 12x12x24 tires.
Also, you might want to change the oil & filters in the hydros. This will set you back about $160 if recommended Parker HT-1000 oil plus filters are used, which can be purchased at mowershop.com under oil for Spartan mower. You'll need 2 gal. of oil, but use less than 8qts. Oil level should only ⚠"just cover bottom of reservoirs" when cold⚠.
That will give you 1000 hrs. of operation.
If not using Parker oil, you may substitute a 15w-40 Diesel, 15w-50 Marine or 20w-50 Aircraft oil for a 500hr life.
I use the 15w-40 for the engine & Parker HT-1000 for hydros.
I'm amazed that it cut as well as shown, given it was cutting wet grass at 3 1/4" & speed of mower. You might want to measure distance of blade tip to floor to see if height adjustment is accurate. Mine is 1/4 inch higher than measured ... good enough.
Check out the blades. Mine came with the light duty blades but I purchased the thicker/wider G6 Oregon blades.
Well, some of this you already know . .. just adding to your good review 👍

hey thanks man. This isn't my mower, as I said in the video. I'm just the operator. As you can see from my personal Deere Ztrak in my other videos, If this were my mower, I'd be taking much better care of it. We did log over 350 hours total on this mower last season alone, and it's getting ready for battle again.

I wish I looked at different mowers before buying a Kubota Z726X what a pos this mower turned out to be. Only has 300.3 Hours on it and I have changed two coils, the Fuel pump, Starter, and one spindle. Cost me over 12k and I was going to trade it in and they were only going to give me 4300.00 for it. Never again Kubota for a lawn mower-Love my L3901 Tractor the mower sucks
