***PLEASE UNDERSTAND*** My comments about the overall striping with this mower are nit picky. It is by no means a flaw of this mower. This mower and deck stripe very well. I was only stating that there could be a bit more. Thanks again for watching!
My 920 m 3 years old 865hrs. One warranty issue ignition switch. Maybe he did not leval deck correctly Mine strips beautiful. Got a scag cub good mower. The 920 will hold hills strip with any competitor without a brush or roller Im a consumer not paid or sponsored.
*My yard consists of roughly 3.5 acres of "mowable" area with several small hills **Bestfor.Garden** also recommend and valleys and tree-beds scattered throughout. Not only did the mower do a great job, but at the end of cutting the entire lawn, I STILL had 35% left on the battery.*
Yes… I had a 52 inch deck Ferris Z1500 with a 25 HP Kaw and it was a little down on power in the thick stuff and going up hill at the same time. I now have a Ferris 700Z with 52 inch deck, and 61 inch deck machine as well. They both have the 27 HP Briggs Commercial and have great power in the same situations. Stripping... just put a rubber flap on the rear of your deck, and it will do it well.
Did you ever find the part number for the JD mat for you Z920M.. I bought one last month and very happy with it. I only have 2 acres but I cut it quickly and no problems at all. My neighbor bought a Husqvarna and has had his frame crack at least twice.. JD is more expensive but it is quality. My big complaint with JD is poor documentation on various models. Some of the competition does a much better job.
Deere seems to build a very sturdy zero-turn. A lot of guys seem to prefer other brands like Scag or Hustler, but the Deere seems very heavy and I am a big fan of the 7-iron decks. I agree with you on the horsepower, the Kawasaki's just don't seem to have low-end torque. They love to be run wide-open.
well no disrepect but my jd 920m 7iron pro deck stripes great. in fact i have a scag cub with there roller and the jd stripes as well with no kit. just a question my jd deck is pitched slightly foward is yours.thanks for your time.
Totally agree with the striping. The cut quality is top notch but for some reason it lays some of the weakest stripes of all the commercial ZTR's on the market. Also 27hp is pretty much the minimum for that machine if used commercially. The 25 horse would work for a homeowner but 23.5 is straight not enough. Even 27 horse can struggle pretty hard when bagging leaves in the fall.
I am purchasing a z920m as well. Since you have owned yours awhile, I do you know when the mower deck spindles are full of grease? Is there a relief port that allows grease to exit when full?
My question is do you use mulching blades with the shute door. ? I ask because I am new to mowing large areas and mines just laid out a carpet of clippings. Lol. Sucked to use the blower and a rake on lil over half ache.
I took them off because it’s easier to clean around the spindles and I don’t like how they harbor grass. I’m the only one running the mower so I’m not concerned about the safety of them.
I bought my first diesel powered Walker several years ago, it just rolled over 7,900hrs last week. I now own 8 of them. Synthetic oil and filter every 100hrs. Looks like you take good care of your unit, hopefully next season you can do another review after several hundred hours. 🙂
I am looking into buying a ferris 52" with a Kawasaki 801v for 5k with 87 hours, but there is also a john deer 930m 60 inch for 6k and it has 450 hours. Which one do you think will be worth buying? In your own opinion
Mine has the 23.5hp and it has 23.5hp fx730v mine is the raduis x series 60 and it goes up hills well! More hp is better thu but i got this one cause i only got approved for 9k next one is going be a scag.

Thanks for the video! I’m thinking about getting one. Was curious where you got the hitch and what you pull with it? Ty!

How are the Tweels holding up?
My John Deere X590 just rolled over 100 hours today. Stripes grass like a champ without a striping kit!

Sadly, many times people buy other brands based on price. As good as the Deere is, sometimes they can be a bit pricey.
I have to say I’ve used them all and the Kawasaki is best for reliability, the new kohler was lowest on power I’ve driven
I own one just like it. No problems, great mower. Four years, 160 hours.
Dang I put 500 on mine just last year I cut some grass
Whats the part number for rubber floor mat and does it fit z930m too

Can the X Tweel Turfs be used with a 14 bushel bagger system like MCS.

I have one and I grease it once a week. 10 shots per.

Nope. Standard high-lift blades. They work fine for what I’m doing.
I just purchased a 2013 z920m with 225 hours and it came with spindle covers. Did your mower not come with those or did you just remove yours?
I took them off because it’s easier to clean around the spindles and I don’t like how they harbor grass. I’m the only one running the mower so I’m not concerned about the safety of them.
I thought the Fluid for the Pumps are 400 hours in the Manual? Please do a Video when you change it out THANKS I Love my Z930m
Manual says initial change is 300 hours, but I’m weird and I like to change my fluids early. I’ll be sure to film it!
You still like your mower
Best mower ever!
Try it on a steep hill and be ready to bail out
Tiny deck, light frame
Look at the Altoz Zero Turn mowers
Hyrdo fluid don't need to be changed till 500 hours I believe
Great vid

Where did you get the John Deere Floor mat?
It's an accessory from John Deere. Part number LP1400
Rubber floor mat part number ??????

I have mulch on demand. Yours looks different and better
Yeah I purposely picked the standard 7iron pro. Didn’t really want to deal with the MOD deck.
Which mower do you have ? We had a mower that mulched all the time..
Do you use mulching blades which the shute door ?
@@Shanglive317
Yes. It works great.
Get the suspension seat. Worth it trust me.
the 930 engines are a beast 25.5 kawasaki rating is same as 30 briggs rating no lie I don't know why they get away with false advertising
U like it alot
You should relook at your yard. You have a checker board yard.
Yeah I suppose I didn’t give it enough credit. It’s a fantastic mower.
Trusty old? It's got 110 hours, lol.
Go to EFI 945 or 955 EFI best mower jd makes
Kohler is no way near the quality of the Kawasaki engine
