/ Here's now finally the first recording of a theme composed for one of my favorite movies. And I also love the score. It's very interesting but not untypical that James Horner "stole" here from himself, lol :) So he used parts of themes from "Braveheart" (middle part) and "Deep Impact" (the ending) here for example :)
Played from a transcription and my mind. No sheet music available.
The other theme "The Gift of Mortality" is coming soon!
Enjoy!
(sorry for the little audio/video sync problems)
I feel that am listening in a theatre exactly to the film BGM!
You are Incredible! Am Speechless!
This is so good it's unreal. Another job well done! I always look forward to your uploads.
It is so beautiful, thanks.
Still love listening to this! Youre so talented
One of my all time favourites and sat here 😢
Very nice video !
Bravo !
Greetings,
Alain
Simply beautiful - full, rounded, passionate and sparkling with imagination. Your dynamics are excellent, despite your rebellious keyboard. :) Thumbs up for sure!
This is so beautiful that i'm speechless
Absolutely gorgeous! It's a shame that the sheet music for Bicentennial Man was never officially released, which is why I've had to work out 'The Wedding' and 'Mechanical Love' by ear to be able to play those. I've just put up Mechanical Love actually. I do have a transcription of 'The Gift of Mortality' so I may do that at some point. A beautiful performance played with so much emotion and heart! Amazing! :)
I play but wish I was this good ❤
really nice piece that sucked me back to watching this amazing movie. It always made me think of Data's journney of learning to be human from Star Trek but multiplied significantly and told in a few hours. I truly believe Andrew became human in the end. Thanks I loved it.
Thank you Jason, good to hear that you like it. You should definitively watch this movie again ;) Btw: I transcribed it pretty exactly, but I was not sure overall, because I got pretty early a thumb down and not many up until now. You must know the keyboard is pretty damaged, it doesn't work good since some time especially with the dynamics. I first wanted to wait until I finally have my new one but it could take until end of June maybe.
Actually I like it more than the original which I've just listened to, didn't realize the piano was damaged. Hope your new keyboard works better for you and you continue to make amazing music.
The only thing i see damaged is the person who gave this a thumbs down
This is fantastic. You, my friend, are a great pianist.
amazing...
Luv this film beautiful
I have always love listening to this piece. Is it possible you could play the piece that Little Miss is playing during her transition from child to adult.
You can hear just a little bit of Braveheart in there but that’s ok. James Horner did well on both Braveheart and Bicentennial Man.
love it! :D
Please could you do a tutorial!?
wow realy good ,:) thanks so much =) u are great pianist :)
I love the film and the soundtrack, specially this piece because it puts a lot of themes, as you say, together. Could you please do a top view with a better sync? I would gladly make a sheet music and put it online for free!
Do you have midi files of any of your music? Thanks
Please play some scores by Basil Poledouris, example Free Willy.
I love Basil Poledouris!
Man, i need this song tutorial... Please
02:05 - 02:22 is *EXACTLY* the same as the theme from braveheart
if you only had recorded the MIDI file, so I could upload this to a Steinway Spirio :(
wow, very good , what piano is it?
Good Morning - very soothing and well played! I wish you could be here and play with me on the concert grand piano. I am also very fond in performing soundtracks, particularly from James Horner. Currently I play quite frequnently "Lengends of the Fall" and the "Gift of Mortality". Could you help me in disclosing where I can receive the notes resp. the score for "The Seach for Another?" Thank you for your kind assistance!
Cordially yours, Gerhardt
There is no sheet music of this piece on the market currently, but maybe I'll sell some of my piano transcriptions someone in future (I've to work them out first). Atm I need all the time for making sheet music of my own compositions ;)
