    Such an underrated film. I really loved this movie too. It showcased what Robin Williams could do. As he was always typecast as this world famous stand up comedian that only does comedies and not drama but let me tell you that his performance as Andrew Martin had me in tears. He was so lovable in it and you feel for his charcther.
    I think of this as the futuristic version of Pinocchio.

      dear disney65fan.... don't forget, at the time the film was made this film made Robin the best paid actor ever.. ad 20 million dollars for one film... there's nothing poetical nor humble or wise, as his smile tends to want us believe.. I was so thunderstruck when I read about this.

      remembering those that have passed away and moving forward in a deliberate manner is something that has been intriguing me lately. what better way to spend life than to honor the ones before us and make the world better for those after us?

    We seemed to have lost so many people of stage and screen over the last few years. Robin Williams was one of my favourite stars as he seemed to have the ability to bring joy and sincerity to his performance. This film and indeed the music was truly magnificent and your cover version of this is truly glorious indeed. Thank you for posting and sharing your talent.

    Thank you for this wonderful and lovely tribute to a great maestro who sadly left us to soon and at the peak of his artistry and career. James Horner, along with the late Jerry Goldsmith and John Williams, comprises what the film score fans loves to call the "3J Holy Trinity of Film Music". Now Maestro Horner has joined Maestro Goldsmith to the Great Unknown. Farewell, Maestro.

    Thank you such an amazing performance! You have really managed to grab a soul and take far away to the spirit and mood of the melody. It's truly mesmerising and I greatly appreciate what you have done! People like you make this world a better place to live it, thanks to a music and you once more, God bless. I play the piano myself, therefore I find this as a gift. I would be more than grateful if you could help out in finding sheet music for this particular version, since I've been looking for this kind of version for a while now, and failed ever since. I would love trying to play it just like you now that you've inspired me :)

    A shining and magnificent tribute, Stephan. I know well your admiration and love of this composer, and your beautiful performance of this piece truly honors his work. James Horner will always be among the greatest of the greats - his music gave stories both singularity and universality, reflecting every dimension and color of human emotion. His passing is an incomparable loss.

    • @sidpheasant7585
      @sidpheasant7585 2 роки тому

      Agreed.
      But I think there is even more of the Holy Spirit in ua-cam.com/video/YFGK2RFUQLs/v-deo.html - from "Signs"
      Try it if you do not know it!
      Don't be surprised if it sounds scary at the beginning - it is supposed to!
      But later on the characters in the movie start to "see" the truth of their lives, the world and the universe.
      The most divine music is so transcending that we do not even know if it is happy or sad - obviously, since the Holy Spirit does not feel the difference between these "aspects of love".
