I find it funny when I read the comments and find one that is worded in the exact way that I would word it, only to realize it was my comment over one year ago! So here I am still listening to your beautiful piano playing one year later !
SO AWESOME ! This is the song I wanna hear after I die and god shows me my life in review. Also with my dream of becoming a pilot, I finally started flying lessons and I blast this tune all of the time, great job thanks.
This was jaw dropping the first time I heard it, and it still is today. I don't watch much YT anymore, but your music is the exception. I hope you're doing well and having a happy life, still filled with incredible music, with many friends to share it with you. Frohe Weihnachten, Stephan...stay healthy and creative. Enjoy every adventure that comes your way. Blessings to you! ❤
Absolutely beautiful transcription of this song. This was one of my favourite movies growing up as a kid so i just wanted to thank you for taking me on a trip down memory lane :)
I could listen to you play all day - you have beautiful piano hands - very in touch with your music. Lovely transcription - it's one of my all time favorite movie themes. You do it marvelous justice. Thank you for posting!
This video gives me the chills every time I listen to it. It was the first video I ever watched on YT and it is positively exhilarating. You have all the layers perfectly supported and complimentary. It is excellence that has not been matched anywhere on YT. How are you, Stephan? I'm interested to know what your current projects are. I think you've outgrown YT. :)
Hello Sandy, yea you're absolutely right, the times as I recorded every week some new stuff is definitively over ;) It has several reasons: first I have not longer the time, also because of my full time job (you know I'm not in main job musician) and second I have not so many stuff for covering remaining (you know I'm choosy, lol) now. I recorded so much and maybe I was a bit too fast at the end, lol...:) But anyway I'll upload some new covers from time to time, so this channel is still alive and will also be in future! I've also finished my next (and probably last) album, it should be in the stores in the next weeks. It's the 3rd vol of my series "Beautiful movie themes for piano solo". The next project will be a sheetmusic book of all my film music transcriptions. Many people already asked for it, but it will still take some time.
Es ist ja Glück, that your day job does not keep you from still sharing your music, no matter long we must wait for the next recording. :) Each one is a special treat. I'm very glad to hear you are well and that you have a new album coming out soon. Of course I shall buy it - your albums are my favorite music to listen to when I'm out walking. And a sheetmusic book of your transcriptions will be a prized souvenir - not many people will be able to play them like you. ;) Best and happy wishes to you, my dear...thank you for all your music these past years.
If I could ever learn to play, this is the only song I would want to learn how to play. I would play this song until my fingers became a blistered and I had to stop.
I love this so much but what happened to the video where it's choppy...any way I can get the audio of this before this started happening for the last year
Excellent arrangement and performance, but a pity that the recording has frequent skips. I don't see this in any of your albums on iTunes etc? Is the sheet music for it actually included in Piano Stories Vol. 1 linked in the description?
Well folks, the movie will be brought back by the Disney Corporation in the form of a new TV series. It's in production now. (Learned from people involved at Disneyland recently.) I hope that they will keep some or all of the original Rocketeer music!
Thank you for this wonderful piece! Wish I was good enough at piano to play it myself. (And BTW, I'd like to kill "The Far East Movement" for entitling a composition "The Rocketeer." Don't know what their fans see in it, but it isn't nearly as beautiful as James Horner's music.
Hmm.... I know I am picky now.... but this fanfar things should be more noticable, Now its kidna gets lost half way through and maybe one part goes a little to slow. But otherways. I loved this. :-) I played this one myself once.
@Melissa Wickersham I watched the film at the cinema when I was 13. I watched it a year ago. I still couldn't even tell you what happened for the sweet décolletage on that fox. What I can say is that 'perverted' means 'abnormal' or 'deviated from the norm'. It's perfectly normal to look at the racks of hot babes. FYI I made this comment over a year ago. In the context of the hateful and bigoted comments on social media (many of which are borne from religious piety) it isn't that bad. You could've just scrolled on by.
@DARTH MONG Still, the Rocketeer is a Disney film that is supposed to be family friendly and wholesome. Theater audiences are supposed to react to family friendly Disney films like ”The Rocketeer” with childlike wonder and awe, not with sexual arousal.
"Go get 'em, kid!"
2020 and I'm still coming back to this cover. Amazing!
I haven't thought about this movie in a very long time. The theme is so pretty. Hearing it again makes me want to find this movie and watch it.
One of my favorite movies, The music, the cast and the story line are epic!
this is the most beaitiful piano cover I've ever heard. Thank you!
La mejor versión de este tema que he oído hasta ahora, realmente entendiste el alma de esta melodía.
Beautiful.

You too, eh? Too funny...!
@@Nevada_Dan Hey, Rocketeer! Love that movie.
SO AWESOME ! This is the song I wanna hear after I die and god shows me my life in review. Also with my dream of becoming a pilot, I finally started flying lessons and I blast this tune all of the time, great job thanks.
Amen to that ! Forever the rocketeer !

This is a very good piano version of THE ROCKETEER theme song! Congratulations!
I listen to the orchestra version, which I love, then I listen to this, and love this theme more. Really miss James Horner.
Absolutely beautiful transcription of this song. This was one of my favourite movies growing up as a kid so i just wanted to thank you for taking me on a trip down memory lane :)

I just love this movie and theme
Oh it's been such a long time since I heard this. I LOVE that intro.
I could listen to you play all day - you have beautiful piano hands - very in touch with your music. Lovely transcription - it's one of my all time favorite movie themes. You do it marvelous justice. Thank you for posting!

Very beautiful piano playing skills you have
Love the song. Love the movie. I need to go flying!

Beautiful theme, one of my favorites, you did such a great job with it :)
Well done! Impressive, most impressive!
Encore!
This is amazing, seriously well done
Muito obrigado por essa maravilhosa execução. Parabéns!
If I could ever learn to play, this is the only song I would want to learn how to play. I would play this song until my fingers became a blistered and I had to stop.
Bravo!
any chance to get the sheets for this? greetings and great work!
Amazing! Loved it, quite impressive^^
I love this movie. Can you please send me the sheet music if you have it or know how to get it. thanks
I would love to learn how to play this piece. I only know part of it by ear. Do you have the sheet music transcribed by yourself?
"ROCKETEER TO THE RESCUE."!!!.
Beautifully done! Thank you so much for pulling together one of my absolute favorites.
What type of keyboard is this?
I love this so much but what happened to the video where it's choppy...any way I can get the audio of this before this started happening for the last year

Very beautiful played! Can you please tell me which Piano you did use? Thank you very much!
it actually sounds like a steinway grand piano. maybe that is helpful :P
I would kill for the sheet music!! Are you giving it out?
I bought it on sheet music plus.
Do u have the sheets? It's so lovely.
You have a gift! Enjoy your music. How about some fried green tomatoes?
which arrangement are you using?
“I may not make an honest buck but I’m 100 percent American”
any tutorial? :)
I would also LOVE to have this. Unfortunately I don't any stuff for you :-(
If anyone has the German Seabass sheet music for this piece, PLEASE get in contact with me. Trying to find it.
where did you get the sheet music?
They have the theme on shertmusicplus.com but it isn't exactly like this. But that's where I bought it.
Some slight variations i didn't appreciate too much. Problem is it's too fast. This is a slow paced tune that grows in time.
I love this song, and wonderfully played. Could you send me the score that you made, somehow?
Thank you for this wonderful piece! Wish I was good enough at piano to play it myself. (And BTW, I'd like to kill "The Far East Movement" for entitling a composition "The Rocketeer." Don't know what their fans see in it, but it isn't nearly as beautiful as James Horner's music.
Playing is a little too mechanical, but I'm enjoying the execution.
@eddiejc1 Y R RIGHT 110%!! Jams Horner rools!!
Hmm.... I know I am picky now.... but this fanfar things should be more noticable, Now its kidna gets lost half way through and maybe one part goes a little to slow. But otherways. I loved this. :-) I played this one myself once.
Slow the tempo down a bit
Okay.....I replied. Now what?
I may not make an honest buck, but I'm 100% American.
Let's be honest. The star of the movie wasn't Billy Campbell. It wasn't Timothy Dalton, or even the music. It was Jennifer Connolly's rack.
That is one perverted comment you just made. Stop thinking with your crotch and just enjoy the beauty of the music.

@Melissa Wickersham I'd take that up with the costume department. Not my fault.
