kinda fucked though, that the Athletic essentially 'hijacked' their original IRL channel and made then essentially restart this one; here's to hitting that 400k sub count in the next 12 months.
Yes! Thank you for being back on UA-cam. I've listened to your Podcast in the last months but being back on UA-cam is great for three reasons: 1. Watching your interactions is fun. 2. Many people on YT did not seem to know that the podcast had started again ... 3. This way we can interact, give our opinion. It is interesting to read what other people think about the content and discuss it with them ...
"The old man in blue, the police officer of the podcast world, it's the guy who wants to snuffle out fun wherever he can find it, and stop it and kill the fun" "Police officer" and "kill the fun" really had me thinking the great Alex Stewart was coming back. Regardless, I am pleased the Tipo gang is gracing my eyeballs once again.
Wouldn't say United played underdog football necessarily. Compared to the last matches where United managed to get some result, we had more possession and more open-play chances that weren't just counters. We definitely defended more but didn't just sit back and hit counters
Wasn’t keeping Trent on for so long a tactical error, probably the only one he’s made all season but in this specific game he was getting rinsed and all of uniteds best efforts were from the left hand side of the pitch
The camera orientation of this room is so trippy and betrays all rules of cinema (which this of course is). Joe’s camera is a close up of him looking left to right. So seeing as I don’t yet have visual information of the room that you are recording in, the viewers brain naturally follows cinematic language which must mean that the person Joe is talking to - JJ in this instance - must be on the right of screen, correct? Well not according to the wide shot he isn’t! (“Yes I’m declining” - 0:10 ) Due to the subconscious laws of film (which this of course is), my eyes and ears are both deceiving me, as I am hearing Joe talk and yet strangely seeing JJ’s lips move. This is when I finally realise that it was the orientation of the cameras and the lack of cinematic language that was lying to me! For my brain has still retained the visual context of Joe looking from left to right, when in actuality, he is looking from right to left… Anyway, I’m 14 seconds into the UA-cam version of the podcast I - and we, your devout audience - have been begging for. And yet here I am… Lost in the spiralling misery that has been this paragraph and the importance of film language [seriously tho, change the orientation of the hosts camera so that they are looking from right to left if you are going to keep the wide shot where it is]
Finally! Try saying out loud that you're going to transition away from a weekly light hearted review of the leagues action to a long form analysis of the technical parts of the game and not fall asleep or literally die. Obviously that was mental. I'm so fucking relieved that we're back to normal. Next time, try asking literally anyone before you dismantle the only spark of excitement I can muster as part of my weekly commute . Its shit out here, give us a fucking break. That said, keep up the good work.
A big part of the 0.55 xG was due to Trent's risky passes. Slot has already pointed out this that Trent still struggles with the risk reward ratio of his passing! So considering one man's passing resulting into turnover as a pattern of the complete team's performance/ mentality would not be accurate!
I always remember John being more negative than positive whilst talking about Newcastle, however, tonali, Actually modelled himself on Gennaro Gattuso rather than the pearlo comparison and was his hero growing up, and the player he wanted to emulate.
he's better on the ball compared to rino though, he's somewhere between pirlo and rino i reckon, sure he's closer to gattuso, but his long passes are more accurate and tonali is actually reliable on set pieces (in milan days he scored and assisted so many goals from set pieces)
They think Tonali is average. Did they watch the Brentford game or any of the games that followed? Newcastle have won the last 7 matches because of what he now brings to the team as a No. 6.
Manchester United playing underdog football feels like an unfair statement. In the past, United’s best results against the big teams came counterattacking football, but on Sunday they were much more composed. Still agree that they need to replicate this performance against the lesser teams
I love Kobbie Mainoo hes very technically gifted but he does lack the physicality and its glaringly obvious people burn past him constantly when playing us
Thank god they are back! I will admit, with guilt, my athletic podcast watching had been falling off since these guys stopped. Thank you everyone involved.....a great 2025 beckons🎉
The annoying complaining we have been doing has finally worked
Lesson learned.

Lovely people of Tifo, if you can also mark the full episodes as a podcast for UA-cam Music it'd be great!😊😊
WE'RE SO BACK
It's been back on podcast platforms for a while now, think this is the first video since its return tho
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
i used to pray for times like these
Jon bullied in the first 15 seconds of the video, nature is healing
Jon must be a savage to Joe off camera. Always the one that gives him stick 😂😂😂
The empty seat is upsetting. Perhaps a cardboard cut-out of SSB would help?
Tifo Podcast is back, Joe’s visible, tangible, searing contempt is back, and my life force is recharging 😌
Where’s that adorable little baby boy
7:38 Steve flexing his power
Lmao, yeah, that was a fun editing joke.
At this point, Seb is quite literally "the friends we've made along the way".

And everything was lovely once again, beautiful. Welcome back gang
They've been back all season in audio
@@MenWithVen It just wasn't the same without their physical quips, like Joe's glances at the camera.

7:30 amazing punchline to a joke, credit to Steve the Editor 😂😂

RIP Seb Halfords Floor
I’m only at “in ya craw”…”caawwwwww” and it’s already brilliant
Thank you for listening to the fans!!
I didn't remember I needed this so much in my life, so much. Thank you guys. Long live the Tifo Podcast!
I can really feel the contempt
Video tifo podcast! Back in 100%! I don’t do audio podcasts, so this is great

This man is spitting straight facts
We're so back, I've missed this podcast

I wish my voice carried the gravitas of Joe’s voice. It would make teaching much easier.
I've missed Joe's warm/cool embrace, it's been a while I can't exactly remember which
🐝 34:57 Brentford mentioned
had no idea the podcast was even back on other platforms, who is in charge round here 😡
Gotta do your research! Good news is there's some catch up to do
Ugarte, Bruno and Mainoo dominated the game.
Thank you. Came from the podcast app as soon as you mentioned the channel was back up 🎉

Everything I loves dissapears never to return. Until now.....don't know how but thank you
The return to the good timeline is finally here!!!
2025 gonna be crazier than 2024
I missed this! Thank you for coming back!
The world may finally begin to heal. Universal equelibrium has been restored.
A historical duel of pedanticism and whimsy
I have attached a substantial portion of my mental well being to this podcast, and I couldn't be happier.
Glad you're back to this format. Commenting for the algorithm.
…I’m…so…happy 🥹
We’re back, baby!
…even Hankles! 😊
this is the best format!!!!
thank you for listening! :)
I thought I'd missed a bunch of these when this got recommended on my feed. We're BACK!
“What’s the worst he can do”? That very minute the editing started going scatty!
LOL😆
How'd I get here 😂😂😂
Love it!
Please add timestamps.
We can't ask for more! Brace yourself
Without video accompaniment it's unclear just how heaving the docket is. Nature is healing, the docket overflows
Marc Albrighton had an interesting running style

Great to see the lads back in form 👏
Adam Driver would play Tonali in a film

Wow first video TIFO podcast in 18 months goodness me aha. Interesting to see Joe with the longer hair ahaha
I can feel this in my craw
They think Tonali is average. Did they watch the Brentford game or any of the games that followed? Newcastle have won the last 7 matches because of what he now brings to the team as a No. 6.
It’s a new year and the Tifo Podcast has video back, positively Devine… 😁
In the midst of it's so over, I found that there was an invincible we're so back baby!!!!!
Proof that you can get whatever you want if you complain enough
All we need now is a beautiful, long-winded chat about eagles and Lord of The Rings
Glad to see you back!
I turned the video on at 1:00:00 only to see the prediction part. Great to watch everyone laughing at JJ, and to see Jon making his peculiar gestures.
So glad this is back. Still not sure what this podcast is about
And just for a second, oh what a sweet second, I thought they were about to bring back Alex Stewart.
Manchester United playing underdog football feels like an unfair statement. In the past, United’s best results against the big teams came counterattacking football, but on Sunday they were much more composed. Still agree that they need to replicate this performance against the lesser teams
I missed them warm hands and cool embrace!
Thumbnail made me think Ugarte was a guest on the pod 😂😢
Day one of asking the lads to predict the next New Zealand derby for points are bad!
Welcome back boys. Sounds better on UA-cam too! 😂😝

The tifo football podcast 2: electric boogaloo
What a day
I don't really ever comment on things but I feel compelled to say that we are, unequivocally, so very back
I love Kobbie Mainoo hes very technically gifted but he does lack the physicality and its glaringly obvious people burn past him constantly when playing us
Love that it’s back!

Thank god they are back! I will admit, with guilt, my athletic podcast watching had been falling off since these guys stopped. Thank you everyone involved.....a great 2025 beckons🎉
These guys would get my vote to be the new MoTD hosting team

Did John's sister make him a version of the Mr Potato Head game?
Well well well, Hanckey comes craaaawling back
It's the olllllllld leaky bucket boy
WE ARE BACK BOYS. Finally got my fix of warm hands and cool embrace.
Thank the sweet lords. I had no idea the team was back
Come for the contempt, stay for the Hankles.
