Yet it wasn’t her child, they did a switcharo which made these events a self fulfilling prophecy of what inevitably happened in the first movie. Humans in their own fear created their own problem.
I saw this in the theater when I was about 12 yo back in the early seventies and i thought it was shocking how hasslein just shot dr. zira and her baby. it was shocking
Except this wasn't the end, human fear created a self fulfilling prophecy. Since Zira changed her baby with the other regular chimp baby it caused what they were trying to stop by killing them
Movies like these are rated 'G', but a comedy like Trading Places is rated R because an actress is topless for a short while (just standing there, no love scene). Talk about upside down ratings decisions.
Watching that clip breaks my heart😢
This and ceasars funeral are the saddest scenes in the franchise.

Made me cry humanity is so cruel 😢😢
I’m 42 years old and this scene still gets me
Zira and her baby getting gunned down like that traumatized me as a kid when I first saw this movie in the theater.
Yet it wasn’t her child, they did a switcharo which made these events a self fulfilling prophecy of what inevitably happened in the first movie.
Humans in their own fear created their own problem.
That was a chimpanzee that got shot, her baby is in the zoo, although how it spawned an army of gorillas and orangutans is lost on me
yeah it was reminiscent of Cannon Hinnant. Say his name.

Same here scared me when I saw this at canal drive in theater I was only six years old at the time.

Blessed be in 24!!🙏
The ending of this movie is so sad. Probably the saddest and most fucked up un movie history. So unfair. But im glad milo survived 🙂
He got better and built Colossus.
A fitting end, this is OUR planet

Victor Newman on young and the restless. A much better role for Eric braeden
