Nice fireplace Morgan 👍 We burn logs and on really cold days we let the logs calm down and add a small amount of smokeless coal on top. Turn the air up a bit until the coal catches then turn air down to min. When we go into room in the morning its toasty as long as we've shut the door before going to bed. We dont use out central heating cause the fire allows us to open the door in the evening to reg the heat 👍👍👍
@@MorganTheBuilder What i meant to say is we only do that before bed. Close lounge door( room has no outside walls! ) and on really cold nights the lounge is toasty in the morning. We keep door shut as much as possible during the day and heat will generally last till mid afternoon. Amount of coal is what fits into a paint scuttle and to give an idea of size there are about 4 of them to a 10kg bag.
You’ve really pulled it of fair play to you and brilliant bit of tumbling in from someone who knows how it’s done 🍀👍

@@Doug.... Thankyou 👍👊🧱 yeah we do exactly the same, we find if we light the fire in the morning and let it run all day it’ll warm the whole house 🔥👌
