I just found out this game exists and the fact that they have a full story mode in a literal dancing game with fucking Macarena for the final boss is absurd in a good way
If I recall correctly, the main villain used to be part of the "Dance Central Agency Against Dance Crimes" but was let go for being too strict with his dancing methods. So he seeks to avenge them by mind-controlling dancers from previews time periods (70's,80's,90's,2000's), including his own son Oblio who used to be a powerful, free-spirited dancer. Intense.
I love how the villain is evil because he doesn’t let people do things differently, but the game itself punishes you for not following its instructions to a T
i was wondering why the villain was animated Like That, prancing around and flourishing with every line, so when it was revealed that this was a dance game, it all made sense, honestly.
I played enough japanese games to not even suspect that, it is very common in that country's games because Japan's school of acting is very hammy apparently. But this game is not Japanese.

On second viewing everything about this SCREAMS "Michael Jackson video" style dance fighting. The outfits, the movements of both characters, the framing and dialogue. But on first viewing I could not have had my expectations shattered more, and I was TOLD that would happen.
The minute he dragged blue boy on screen I unfortunately recognized the game. Peepaw is an absolute stalker in the VR version. Great series, but unwilling to deep dive into the absolute delightful chaos of lore yet.

This is the best cutscene I ever saw. The change in tone to Macarena after a villain speech was quite sudden, and it love it.
