It's good that they're adding new skill trees, because this will really help with build variety, but I kinda wish they'd finish fixing the old skill trees too.
The skill that let's him turn all the enemies in the trap is what Domination should have been. It was always kinda bad but now it's really useless
@@Adam-yq9xe Domination will also be fixed with the new update, it gets a strong taunt that makes all enemies ignore Flak. So it has some use now.

I love how the trap card skill contains a halo easter egg, the quote: "im ready how bout you?" from Emile A-239. He says this on the penultimate mission of halo reach when he dies. LOVE this game!

OK time to collect shields with the terror pet annointment 200%more dmg for a short duration
Unless they fix the inconsistencies of pet damage formula it can be a hit or miss if that anoint is useful. Sometimes if a pet does too many types of elemental then they cancel bonus damage. Terror gives fire, terror on weapon gives cryo, gamma gives radiation, and spiderant countess does corrosive. It feels like sometimes not all that is working and equally getting benefits. Probably the best shield to get that anoint on will be a Rico or Torch cause Rico has a high reflect chance and Torch reflects any damage not just bullets. Since your pet can receive a copy of your shield, that will pair well with gamma or fade away builds that rely on enemies attacking your pey
Try it with a faulty star. Free novas everywhere! Or maybe a redsuit or something

8:16 when the attack command is used he is supposed to shoot an eye laser and not the orb I had the same issue with test the ION loader too. Great video as Always tho !

Tbh Im planning on making a megavore build with the added tankeness from the new skill tree.
The added pet damage and crit damage is a big plus.
Its great that the ppl who been wanting a full pet build will finally get it. Cant wait to see the sick speed kills with it.
Try to max out that fuzzy math and use a one shooter

This looks awsome. We finally have a pet build! However they need to change the capstone from the blue tree so that we can have all pets active (even for a short time). Or they should add a class mod that gives us this ability.

I hope they do good by us Zane mains, these new skill trees for Fl4k and Amara are pretty awesome.
The trap confuses enemies, there's the dominant skill in the blue tree that allows you to take control of a single enemy and the dominant class mod that allows your pet to dominate enemies. I'm seeing a potential build right here.
I've just recently got BL3 and loving it, not gotten the season passes to get the 4th skill trees yet. Not sure how I feel about the 'BeastMaster' getting a robot as a pet tho! Seems awesome with the abilities, but what made FL4K special and awesome was that he's a robot with animal companions!

@@ian2000 This 100% tired of modifiers they should have just put better modifiers in instead of annoying ones now we have to take a penalty for playing without them.
see my problem is the bot is always like getting stuck on buildings, not moving with me, and shooting walls when i ping an enemy. so im going down the rift tree first see if that helps

Also the skill that copies the shield for the pet is kinda like Zane's capstone for his clone and his gun, that's really cool
Finally we get survivability for flak. Flak just loved to die
Fl4k can do some damage but he is so squishy. I can't wait to try this when it comes out.

Since I started my Fl4k a few days ago this is perfect timing
they also changed dominance on the official skill tree page:
Whenever FL4K attacks an enemy with a melee attack or scores a Critical Hit with a weapon while aiming down sights they establish Dominance over that enemy, turning it into an ally for a short time. If the enemy is a Beast, the duration is doubled.
While under the effect of Dominance, other enemies are more likely to attack it and it constantly loses health until it dies or the effect ends. Once Dominance ends, a Radiation Nova is created centered on that enemy. Only one enemy can be under the effect of Dominance at a time and an enemy may only be affected once.
Next Rank:
Dominance Duration: 12 seconds
Target loses 2% of Max Health/sec
Nova Damage: 18
Is it gonna be usefull now?

The Peregrine Mod with the fish slap grenade melee build is going to be great with this loader bot for the grenade use. Holy crap!
So... the loader with gamma burst, red f4ng, and a faulty star sounds fun. Gonna fill out the purple and orange trees and half the blue. Just enough for 5 points into frenzy and the 1st 2 augments

Pet ion loader with barbaric yawp is ... crazy ? 90% elemental resistance seems a little strong for pet bonus.
To be fully honest I'm not super impressed with the tree potential, but it synergizes well with gamma burst pet based builds and helps with survivability.
Shame the trap action skill is kinda useless since it can't do anything to bosses.
Sadly they nerfed barbaric yawp to 100% pet bonus (its on the official site/skill tree calculator)
I think this action skill will be great for mobbing though
Fl4k main here. I really like this skill tree... If I consider it as itself. In combination with the other skill tree for Fl4k, i like it much less because it makes many other skills completely obsolete. Because of this there will be once again only one "Best Build for FL4K" instead of more, equally good. In my opinion, this wasn't a good move.

Hm I disagree, I think this tree is great for a pet build but no so much if you’re doing like a Crit build or a full on damage build if that makes sense?

Going bul loader shield tank build with shotguns and a shotgun pet. That sounds like a blast to have tankiness and ragdolls from both attack commands and my action skill
Think I’m gonna enjoy seeing the skins change the bots appearance more than I probably should
Okay, this skill tree is going to make some really fun builds
The problem with monkey do is that 70% may seem high and semi regular but its wording implies it not multiplicative and is just gonna add base damage since the bonus damage is listed on the card as " X of WEAPON DAMAGE" so it might just be kind of meh if it adds the base damage after all the maths .
Having some actual survival skills like direct shield restore with crits is gonna be amazing
The increased action skill duration and guerillas in the mist is probably gonna be nuts
For maximum pets, make sure to grab the messy breakup shield for you and your pet as well as the hunter seeker grenades. Have your warloader and a bunch of "drones" kill everything for you. :D

With the other pet tree you might be able to become close to invincible with all the life leech and shield restoration.

Huh. If you combine that one augment with the artifacts that boost cash/health/ammo pickups, you could just.. immediately leech everything you need out of any random enemy, at any time. Tyreen would be proud.
This isn't too great if I'm being honest, amara's new skill tree actually offers new ways to play. This is kind of the same old pet build (which could already be good) and the action skill is underwhelming, doesn't look that great.
Yeah I kind of agree. There's defiantly some cool skills in the tree, but there's some that are basically just reworked/recycled skills from other trees. The reload skill is basically just a better version of second intention. The final augment of gravity snare is basically just dominance, which still sucks. Giving the pet more chances to crit and more crit damage is basically the only game changing skills in the tree, and again, it's just a repackaged version of go for the eyes.

@DarkFocustThe best thing about Fl4k is the insane damage you can put out. No one is going to sacrifice that damage for having a little more shield. The whole 4th tree just seems like a waste
@DarkFocust which is going to be taking points from other trees and dealing less damage. It's still worth trying but it's definitely nothing game changing.
Seth Howie ehh it’s also has a lot of skills for keeping FL4K alive plus helping his pet deal more damage. Also Amaras is the same? Her tree is pretty much melee damage so not really a new way to play

It'll be hard to do in a build, but the shield on crit seems really good for survivability, it will require going all the way down the new tree losing a ton of damage but wow
Id love to see a combo of this and fade away or this and gamma burst. I believe there is some really good synergy. Its just a shame the new ult is a little lack luster when bossing.

They maaaay have not thought through the description of what the Grav Snare does. I’m pretty sure that suspending an enemy midair and knocking them up are VERY DIFFERENT THINGS.
Loader pet with the shield copy works well with that shield that gives you a drone buddy. Drops from rex in the outskirts of lectra city or something. Not as good as a Roland which makes the blue skill tree for the pet survivability useless

Would’ve been cool if they added more augments to get other loaders, for example a gun loader with a basic Hyperion smg but you get two of them for double trouble

GUYS, watch Joltz's video on Mayhem 11. It's just a mode without modifiers and less world drops. All loot still drops on Mayhem 10, so NO, you don't have to refarm again. Stop freaking out.
Im so glad fl4k finally gets shield boosting skills, the healing/health skills always seemed so pointless as fl4k is squishy and always paired best with a turtle type shield
Random boring observation: all of the new action skills are seemingly reskinned assets of previous action skills. Phase Flare is gamma burst with new mechanics. FL4K's trap is Zane's shield. Moze's bear cub is a FL4K pet that might even use the mini loader bot skeleton. And Zane's shoulder cannon is either Moze's railgun or phasecast (I need to see how it shoots). Not that it's a bad thing but, like, my brain noticed it.
