Since I gotten into a lot j rock/metal bands I started listening to Japanese Bands more then western bands not to discredit bands in the west but I think the bands from the east has a unique sound and style
There are many points. classy music, diverse sound, chord progressions tied with their language different from western style. Even pop-rock songs have some kind off instrumental solo's.
And there are so many good bands that I even lost count, every day I find a new and extremely good and talented one! Japan is definitely the country of metal
The truth is that since I fell into this bottomless pit of excellent Japanese music, I don't have time to go back to Western music. The quality is excellent but the quantity is infinite
Plush and The Warning are the ones on this side of the Pacific I'm impressed with at the moment. But the good and great bands in Japan seem almost infinite. Band-Maid started me on this journey. I have bought albums as I can afford them from them, Exist-Trace, Nemophila, and looking forward to more, Narumi's solo album for example. This is my first listen to Lonesome_Blue after learning that Narumi is in it, won't be my last.

So glad i'm finding out this band. Never too late. With Narumi at helm and Ayasa as a guest, this song is a banger. Ayasa should be the band member too. The bassist has a sweet smile and it melts my heart.

The allusion to Lovebites is apt. Former Lightbringer keyboardist Mao, who has collaborated With Lovebites, co-writes the music for Lonesome_Blue; hence, the similarity to Lovebites' sound. Inevitably the vocalist is influenced by Asami, who collaborates on lyrics. This degree of cooperation among rock musicians in Japan sets them apart.
So glad to see Narumi back playing in a band. She is a totally amazing guitarist. The rest of the ladies are absolutely killing it as well. Great music. Great chemistry. Can't wait fir EP/Album. I am so far in the rabbit hole of Japan rock/metal, I'm getting to the point where I'm having a hard time picking my favorites among the packed house. I'm not going to list the bands I like the most but Lonesome_Blue is already right up there! BTW check out Narumi's solo work it is great! 🤘
Wow, Dislaqua/Destrose song style with Asami style vocals 🤟🤟. This must be the first song of the first album, hope comes out soon and with more song like this. The ep is great but this is the only fast song really.
Narumi and Ayasa in a same MV? I must be dreaming. So glad Narumi is back with a proper band. The other girls were fantastic and Ayasa, one of my favorite violinist along with JILL from Unlucky Morpheus. My god. (The dress reminds me of Morfonica but with a heavy metal tune lol). Anyway, thanks to Dicodec fam for introducing me to this band.
Can't wait for more Lonesome Blue. This song is catchy. The blue is perfect shade of blue. Very classy look. My favorite violinists is still Jack Benny. Ayasa and Jill are so awesome.
Hot damn, I love Japanese singers and even though I can't still understand the language, it never stops me from jamming to fantastic Japanese music. This girl is just purely flawless in her English. No broken English singing or other notes that maybe harsh on their vocals. I thought Love Bites was fantastic on her English singing. Time to add this band on my playlist.
She definitely lived in America for a while. Sounds like California. Zero adults who grew up in Japan have that level of English pronunciation. As far as Japanese sometimes you don't want to know. There are Japanese songs that sound beautiful and happy but the lyrics are dark as hell. Songs like 'Racing into the Night' or 'Hated by Life Itself' or 'Lost One's Weeping'. If you see it's age restricted don't read the subtitles :) Rolling Girl also makes me cry but that is mostly because the song's creator died a few years ago at the age of 31. Hatsune Miku performed it live after his death and the crowd chanted his name. RIP Wowaka.
More metal should incorporate orchestral instruments LOVEBITES uses a piano frequently and I love it. Here the violin is incredible. Should be done more often.
I’m guessing you’ve heard of Unlucky Morpheus, but if not they’ve been doing metal incorporating violin for years. And more recently, the violinist here (Ayasa) started up another great supergroup ‘East of Eden’.
Great band. Also, very impressed with the singer’s level of diction with English vocals. If I wasn’t looking at the screen I wouldn’t have known it was a Japanese singer. I recognize the drummer from East of Eden, though I do understand that Lonesome Blue predates them. Just fantastic musicianship all around and a really fun song and video.
Just found this band like three days ago. I'm impressed, really starting to dig this band. From the flawless clean vocals to the instrumentation, all freaking fantastic 😍

ヴォーカルの歌い出しから直ぐに、某ベーシストオーディション中のバンドっぽいなと感じて、作詞・作曲を確認して納得。この曲に関しては、ヴァイオリンがとにかくはまっていて、特にソロパートのギターとの絡みは素晴らしい。これだけヴァイオリンの存在感が強いと、不在の時、同期音源だけでは対応できなさそう。ヴァイオリニストの方がどういう経歴・立場の方かは存じ上げていないが、1970年代には、ヴァイオリニストがメンバーにいたロックバンドが結構あったので、パーマネントなメンバーに加わっていただくとよいのでは。
