I had the button style with the yellow button at the front until today. I threw it in the trash. It’s not going to work well for hard use. I.e. roofing. I have to recommend anything but those, unless your just doing crafts, lol.
Surprise you don't have the Stanley 10-989, my go to knife all the time despite having over ten different ones. The old one is so much better than the new one, problem with the split opening catching the blade holder.

Not a knife that you can just carry around with you. At your leisure without a very good excuse for having it in your Possession. Weather that be in your car or a public place. In order not to be done for carrying an offensive weapon. You need to either be a carpenter or carpet fitter. You need a very good reason for carrying this around in a public place. Unlike most of the reasons I’ve heard within the video. IT is an OFFENSIVE WEAPON. And you can get arrested if caught with it in a public place. And YES it does have a very nice belt clip. And being yellow. It’s extra visible. For any police officer to see. Even better for any arresting officer. Should you already be nicked and already at the cop shop. And asked do you have anything that you should not have. I said no. Then they found the lock knife. Bottom line of what I’m saying here is look up the law. On carrying any knife. Let alone a lock knife like this. Because you will be in the Shit if you don’t. ocked
Good point, sorry, I thought you could pick up some Stanleys at those stores usually. I have seen a few there, but agree, it's nothing compared to Home Depot and Amazon.
You don't understand what the self retractable utility knife is all about, if you work in a very fast paced environment where you are concerned about speed, efficiency and safety the self retractable knife is the perfect knife, the major flaws of it is that it's made of brittle "Metal" and it will break from the tip when dropped, it's a perfect design though too bad it's cheaply made 👌 and the inner parts are made of plastic 😂
10-777 just return it because it's garbage the carrier falls out and will never go back in. I made $100 dollars from Stanley rep. that couldn't get the carrier back into the knife. Don't buy
Had a Stanley utility knife made of "metal" accidentally dropped it out of my hands the tip shattered making it useless because the blade would be exposed, yeah Stanley lies about the metal part pretty sure there's is some metal in it but it's probably 0.01% so they don't get sued when they proudly say it's made of metal 😂 it was their famous $5 knife, had to buy another one. Anyways I wish you would do a drop test on all of them tip first, they will break, metal 😂😂😂😂 The perfect knife would be a 100% stainless steel retractable utility knife but they will never make them, they don't know how 😂
