  • Natural grazing slow feeder for hay and pellets. Lets your horse graze hay slowly tearing each bite with the incisors creating more even dental wear thus relieving TMJ problems. Great for the prevention, treatment and elimination of gastric ulcers, colic and many other problem stall vices and bad habits. As the pan rotates the holes lift the ends of the hay stems up so the horse can search, pull, tear while he is chewing and swallowing. This allows him to size each bite as he eats insuring that his food is thouroughly chewed and salivated as it is when grazing. That's grazing and no other product does this. No wasted hay. Travel safe and sanitary. Head down and dust free Also collects sand and dirt from the hay to be thrown away later. MADE IN THE USA from FOOD GRADE materials, 15yr UV inhibitors, and rated to 30 degrees BELOW zero... Built strong and durable. www.porta-grazer.com

All three of my horses transitioned to the Porta-Grazer quickly. Now no more hay all over the floor or one horse controlling the hay piles. They are happy and so am I!

LindyTN- This is a video of the original Porta-Grazer... It had a lip locking system that kept the pan in even when rolled about. The 2nd generation has a tab locking system which allows the pan to extend above the lip of the barrel allowing more hay yet keeping the pan locked in.. As for using outside in the rain- all models have a drain plug...We recommend to simply taking the plug out to allow any rain to be able to drain out. you can see more info and the different models at our website www.porta-grazer.com

These actually look better than the UK equivalent known as Eazigrazer. At least it alters depth. I still question having to keep their head up in order to eat t though. Sure they've got head down but still at a certain level. However, this is no doubt better than what I do which is feed them on 3-4 ft round biles so this is why I'm looking into things like this.

I love how one of them just can't get the hang of tipping it upright!

Very creative idea! What keep the insert pan from being pulled out?

The pan has to be balanced and centered to be removed. The newly released XL model has a tab and notch locking system to keep the pan in. This allows the pan to extend out the top of the barrel maling room for up to 40% more hay than the original Porta-Grazer™

I wonder how well fodder would work in this.

The prices for the feeders are less than 300, unless you add optional water lid to the one model. As you can see in the video they are designed to tipped over without the hay dumping out. If you read thru the testimonials youll see many people thought the same thing as you but have found out otherwise.

My horse likes to gobble down his hay but won't touch his food. We have tried slow feeders with him and he finds a way to go around it and we can't find your product. But i am concerned about him and his feed. Do you think he is sick

Hmmm....🤔 Will this wear down the enamel of their teeth at all? My guys paw and have torn up the garden tubs with their hooves. Granted, that's think plastic. Will the Porta grazer stand up to a little abuse like that?

I'd really like to put something out there in the field in the winter time for them,so they walk around.

I really like what I'm seeing, however, after looking at the price points- a little out of budget for 3 horses right now. But, looks like a really nice product!

Brilliant ideal however I think the design itself could use a few adjustments.

This video is of the original Porta-Grazer™ The 2nd generation has added locking system on top of what the 1st generation already had, as well as being able to hold more hay. We also have a mini model, traveling models, and a soaker model as well. Check out our website at www.porta-grazer.com to see all the models and options.

28 lbs. of plastic, rated to 50 below zero, 75,000 UV protection. This kind of quality will pay you back many times over. Over two years and none have been broken. The average hay savings from our customers is 25%. If you are throwing 25% of your hay away... that's expensive.
    Built to last !

I do not see how that pan inside would not fall out with the horses knocking it around or if they turn it upside down. would not be able to use it outside in the rain, it would fill with water. But I like it, if the pan would not fall out of it. One of my horses would definitely play with this.

good hay dont get bad in a few hours if raind on. but if your afraid of water ,, just drill a few small holes in the bottom of the bucket,, but most horses actually loves wet hay... many owners soak ore STEAM the HAY
BEfore feeding if the horse have problems with hay dust if the hay is too dry...
here in norway where it usually rains longer periods we use simular buckets but usually we mount them inside a shead so both the hay and the horse can stay out of the rain-wind
in some of those sheds they have bedding but usually the horse have bedding at the main stable for sleeping

300 dollars? That's too expensive to save the hay. Hay is only 3 euros a bale here. I can buy a hundred bales for that. OH well.

While it does eliminate hay waste, it also treats and prevents impaction colic, sand colic, insulin resistance, founder, gastric ulcers, and more. It also allows your horse to graze as nature intended. So many digestive ailments can be prevented simply by feeding a horse like a horse. One trip to the vet can easily be more expensive than the cost of a Porta-Grazer, which starts at $239.
