    This is so fascinating how complex things are with using a tractor with additional implements and attachments. Thanks for sharing and making it plain for us rookies!

      Luckily, you only have to do this once for the life of the equipment! It's all set to mow now!

    Good fix and remember to put back that guard. PTOs have hurt so many people.

      Honest question because i have a flail mower. What does that plastic guard do? If the pto breaks for whatever reason i do not see what the plastic will stop. I ask because my guard is chewed up on the ends so i am considering removing it completely.

      @tomahawkjo8574 so the guard if used properly does not turn while the PTO shaft is turning. It is to prevent you from becoming entangled and lose a limb or your life. It's happened too many times.... Safest thing is to stay clear of the mower until everything is disengaged and rolls to a stop...

    You are exactly right Brad. I had a coworker that busted the whole rear end housing on a Kubota L 3800. He was using a 5’ brush hog and going down over a hill and unaware of big dip in the hill the drive shaft of the mower busted out the housing. Yes, too long is never good with any three points attachment. Sorry about your dad, prayers for you, Deb, and family 🙏

    Nice tutorial! I've had to cut a couple for my BX. Great information to know. Getting it wrong would be costly.

    Is it ok to have the lower lift arms already attached to the pins for the proper length for measurement?

    • @PineyGroveHomestead
      @PineyGroveHomestead  Місяць тому +1

      Sure. And it doesn't have to be exact. 1" shorter than perfect is just as good as perfect....too long is what gets you in trouble!

    I would have sold that land and bought land In the mountains of Oklahoma. Where the You Tube family, Mel and Gary from "Simple Life Reclaim is on the 41.6 , where you can do whatever you want with your own land. And there's no stipulations.
