Thanks Tony, Lots of good info.
I hear that. You could not have done a better job in my opinion.
How are you all doing? This is a great video, and after watching it a couple of times, I cut the PTO shaft for our new rototiller. I told everybody about this video and had a few comments about you in our last video, so hopefully, you don't mind. Anyway, until next time, may God bless your days the way He always blesses ours.
No worries here! I am doing great. God Bless you and your family.
Tony, I am grateful to you for this video. I used it to correctly cut down my tiller's PTO shaft. Thanks so much! Peace be with you!
Thank you, and God bless
Thanks Tony! Watched a couple other videos that always left some point(s) of confusion and led to lots of comment section debates. You've laid it all out nice and clear!
Thanks Tony! I bought an RK 54” tiller yesterday and the PTO shaft was way too long. Your video was spot on in helping me cut it down to the right size.
Thank you. I am glad it helped.
I just bought a bush hog today and this gave me a better understanding on how to ensure that the shaft was the correct length. Thanks for the great video!
Great. Thank you.
I always enjoy watching you work Tony. If I were there I'd be sitting in a lawn chair with a cup of coffee while you do the work !
Thanks Tony, Your video explains how to measure properly.. I also like the fact u use high temp grease.
Thank you
Thank you. Best explanation on UA-cam!
Glad it was helpful!
I have been wanting someone to explain/show why a shaft has to be cut and how to measure and cut. Great job. Thx.
Tony excellent video, very resourceful ! Nicely done. Thanks for sharing, John
Tony, this was the best video I could find. Others were informative, but left some of the measurement references somewhat vague (if it is your first pto).
I watched your video twice and then cut/installed my pto.
2018 Kubota BX2680
KingKutter XB tiller (cut 6.75 off pto)
Thanks Tony! I have a New Holland Workmaster 25s, so all your videos on the small LS are super helpful. Great job on the content and videos - not too long, not too short, good video quality and visuals. Appreciate your work.
Great info, I just stumbled across this video but I need to cut pto shaft for my bush hog , Thankyou & May God Bless
Thank you. God bless and subscribe! 😁
This was perfect. I cut mine using your clear instructions. Thank you, thank, you.
I appreciate your video on this but i have a question as i am experienced albeit not tons of experience but some but my question is what scenario would present itself where you would have to make this modification in the field
You buy a used piece of equipment on craigslist. You bring it to your homestead to install on your tractor. Your tractor stays at the homestead which is 20 miles away from any building. Your choice. Do it in the field or load everything up and spend a half day getting it back to the shop. Second scenario. You are backing into the wood line and that one in a million log pins against the ground and bends your pto shaft. Now you need a new one. Third scenario. Your front pto u-joint breaks as you are mowing fast. It falls down and digs into the ground bending the shaft. The 2nd and 3rd scenarios need new shafts. Last scenario, you buy a new implement and when you get around to using it, your tractor trailer has 5k pounds of concrete on it. You would cut the shaft there.
Using a lower speed on the Sawzall will greatly improve blade life. Most have a variable trigger speed. High speed just burns the blades up but, great video!
Thank you for the input.
Thank you. That helps a lot.
You're welcome!
Thanks for field instructional but I was hoping to see you use the Lotos plasma cutter. I just got mine wired up but short on time. Nice tractor.
I like that you say you’re a perfectionist but you use a screwdriver as a file! Haha perfect!
I also said, I was doing this as if the person was in the field.
Perfect explanation...Thank you!!
Your welcome. I look back and see i could have done it better. Thank you for watching. Tony
I saw the other video before I saw this one was up. I thought, darn, he didn't show cutting it! Oops, wait a minute, here it is. lol. I'm thinking about using a metal chop saw to cut mine when I get it. What do you think? Are you at the tractor and farm show yet?
Thanks for another instructional video Tony. What happened to your red tiller?
How would I measure shaft with pats easy change hitch
Same as normal. Put Pat's on, put implement on, measure, then cut.
@@TonysTractorAdventure thx
Are both shafts the same length
Great video, how do you like that LS tractor?
I don't own it any longer
Great job Tony i do not like cutting pto but i has seen what happens if it is to long ! Not my tractor ! and i keep think you was going to get your finger with steel shavings i hate that when it happens just like checking a tire looking for a nail or thorin in a tire ! Take care and cant wait to see it in the dirt ! LOL Kioti Curt :-)
How long are the link arms on the rear hitch for your sub-compact tractor? I'm trying to run a similar 48 inch tiller on my Yanmar SC2400 and finding that the PTO shaft will be really short. How short is too short for the middle shaft length? Thanks for any help, and great video of how to shorten the PTO!
Tiller shafts are very short on Subcompact Tractors. I don't have that tractor any longer.
Thank you sir... 👍
Most welcome
