Especially the body control this guy had at the fast turns. Like even when i stand normally as stable as possible and i try to fast turn my upperbody and then stop i would have some problems and balance loss. And he stopped perfectly while beeing so low and seems to have no balance issues

People say your knee should not extend beyond your foot in a crouch for fear of damaging your knee. He must have very good knees. Or no pain nerves. Must be excellent conditioning, patient training.

The knees should be strengthened and stretched. Practicing a deeplow arch armed Qigong can help archive this goal. Also beginners should learn Taijiquan in a low stance to help build knee and leg strength and endurance.

G C yes! In my shaolin academy, we learn the ‘applications’ of each move in the form and then at gradings, must perform each individual application in between doing the form multiple times... timed. This heightens understanding of what the form means and also compels the practitioner to constantly switch from the slowness of tai qi to the strength & forcefulness of kung fu

Very impressive!! Such strength and power! I would love to see his explosive soft power strike a bag! Traditional taijiquan is a powerful martial art but its more secretive purpose, its TRUE purpose, is internal alchemy. Shhhhh.....I didn't say that ;)
Superb!!! I can't stop watching this outstanding athlete! We are learning this difficult and complex form in our Tai Chi class. The highly advanced movements such as high kicks are modified to our level of ability.
I watched the grand master Chen Zhenglei perform and then this performance. I start my Chen training in one month and I'm not at all sure I can climb - even partially - this mountain. Chen practitioners out there - any words of wisdom? Maybe I'm watching the wrong videos.. thx

Very good performance. This form is a modified an shortened version of the Xintia Yilu modern form of the Chen style.
It would be good to see demonstrations with these techniques used as self defense.
