Keith and 'Firestarter' ... one of those tracks which takes you back to a time that evokes such emotion. Am 58 years old and always just hearing this transports me back to a place that's a much better than we have to endure today. So glad I enjoyed those halcyon days back in the '90s. Thank you, Keith.
Mad to think I was 15 when this came out and going to raves in rural Ireland , songs like this bring me back to a better day when people were actually nice to each other.
I'll be 63 in a month and I still get the goosebumps and the fire in me when I hear this. And of course the memories of those countless moments in time of having the time of your life..... Yeah I'm still a punky instigator
My ex did the laser graphics for this. She took me along to Brixton and I got to see it from the lighting desk, it was amazing. A really beautifully judged tribute to Keith. RIP, you mad bastard xx

every time i watch the Keith tribute (people's uploads) i have tears in my eyes. i'm a 47 years old guy who listens to Death Metal, but Prodigy have a special place in my heart. at one point they were the second best band in the world IMO (after Death and Death still holds the number one spot, R.I.P Chuck). then Fear Factory joined them at number two. i remember seeing them live in Austria the day The Fat Of The Land came out. awesome. nowadays i can't watch their live shows without crying. rest in peace, man, you will live forever through your music..
The Prodigy the best show on earth. Saw them live at Glastonbury 95. A massively long intro and build up to their first track. Talk about Hype. Absolutely unbelievably amazing RIP Keith 🐜
Seen them twice in the 90’s and even met them and got them to sign my concert ticket they were absolutely amazing!! This concert did look so good though! Miss you Keith 💚🐜
Great tribute to Keith as a life long fan and having seen them many times over the years , I couldn’t bring myself to go without Keith as I didn’t feel it would be the same , video proved me wrong will go and see them again ❤
I worked for them at T in the park Way back when firestarter was released and during firestarter the crowd was the craziest I've ever seen and I've lost count of how many bands I've seen. It must be 500 at least. Festivals you can see 30 to 50 over the weekend. Keith was absolutely loving every minute of that gig. Kept smiling at me with a huge grin. I'm saying to him afterwards how good was that.he says the best. T in the park used to be the complete opposite to glastonbury. Gbury was relaxed.laid back.chilled. T was manic. Crazy. Wild and very very drunk. The heat and sweat haze over the audience looked like mist in the lights from the stage. Purple. Red. Orange steam cloud rising up to the clouds. One of those nights you wish would never end. PS not one person had a phone in their hand. They were not mass ownership items yet so everyone threw caution to the wind. After the gig there were 100s of shoes. It was raining earlier that day and mud pulled them off people's feet. I wondered if the shoes and owners got reunited. They along with other clothing items were all laid out to the side of the stage but I didn't notice many people looking for anything they all just wandered off.😂
Was that 1997 T-in-the-park? I was at the 1996 one when it was at Strath Clyde for the last time. What a set, The Prodigy were 4th on the bill, during the day. No lasers, just very loud music. The crowd surfing was nuts. Here is me (yes honestly, it's me!) surfing next to my mates sisters scotland flag. ua-cam.com/video/I29-VeX4Dv4/v-deo.html So many people came over that I spent at least another song the other side of the barrier with Keith only a couple of meters above my head going nuts until security noticed me. What gets me is the 100's of folks filming this on their phone, rather than going bananas. Couldn't crowd surf today because folks only have one arm!
I've seen them many dozens of times over the years, but the majority of which were in the VERY early days of 1990-1993 when they were still purely underground and a proper rave act playing all night raves as the live P.A act. Even had a dance in a corridor with Keith at one all-nighter somewhere, both chewing our own faces off! Those days were NOT like this - every single person was absolutely hammering it on the dance floor for 8-10 hours straight to the DJ's and the live acts!! Comments like "I was SEATED in section xx".. I mean, haha wtf?!? I was actually at the rave from where the footage in the original Charly video was filmed (Pickett's Lock Centre, Edmonton, North London)... sometime early in 1991 I believe. They released it as their first ever single later that year and it hit the charts. When it was number 4 (I think) in the charts I was at another, outdoor, all-nighter somewhere in the West Country of England and they came on stage and Liam shouted "F*ck the charts!"... Dunno how he feels about that sentiment these days. God I feel old, but man, did we have it massive back in those days :) :) :) !
@@antonybateman Yes sir, was at uni in north London so wasn't too far :). Dreamscapes (including the original), Helter Skelters, few other nights too. One of the epic venues of the rave scene for sure :)

I just said to the missus about the phones, I would be jumping around like back in the 90's and watch all those UA-cam videos the next day on a comedown 😂
It still looks better than holding a lighter up and it's much safer. No one is filming continuously and I'd have filmed some of those lasers too! I bet you would have as well. I'm old skool and so glad I can move with the times and can appreciate the 'new' and not stuck in the 90s moaning about everything being different. 🤘👴🏼 The xtc was nicer back then though for sure. 🤤
