- Each one of these items is an excellent product. I have been using this Team Lews Custom pro speed stick with the hyper mag and it is my go to combo now! Before hand in this combo I would get tired due to the weight of the longer rod paired with the super duty G. Now the super duty G is going to be a great go to when using heavy baits heavy swimbaits and punching.

Deno Keller I would’ve agreed with you 5 years ago, now I build my own. I can make the handle exactly the length I want, get the reel seat I want, space the guides the way I want with the guides I want. Nothing beats a true custom rod, take that to the bank my friend.

N8 I use a lot of MHX Elite blanks, but I’ve used Phenix, North Fork Composites, Lamiglass and St. Croix. I’m going to try one from Rod Geeks next as they are now producing the St. Croix blanks. Dollar for dollar though the MHX line is a GREAT value.

Great advice, I did the same thing and searched Lew’s for the lighter reel to make the combo work! Great advice.

I just got a new Lews combo from Walmart. It’s a Walmart Exclusive. Ima be doing a review on it soon. Soon as I get some miles on it. Best part it was 89$
Definitely like the Lews tournament pro lfs I've got 12 of them along with 2 tournament pro spinning reels and 2 mb just wished Lews would make lower gear ratio in their higher end reels.

Once you flip it on, you just need to press the spool release amd hold it down while casting....as soon as you release your thumb the spool will be engaged
What lews rod would you recommend for jerkbait fishing. I mostly fish the vision 110 series and I jerk aggressive.
