Phoenix has a plastic dash just like a triton and tracker 🤮 Bass Cat has a fiberglass dash😎 I've already seen several plastic dashes that we're busted loose from blown out screw's on all those mentioned brand's, so do yourself a favor and buy Bass Cat 💯
Have had 7 cats all have been great boats and held its resell valve, the puma sets I have now is the best of all. It will fly gel coat and finish is perfect. Never had a problem with cats. The company always stands behind it.
Save yourself the time and get a ballistic by far best boat made and I have had 3 different brands and fished out of all brands ballistic craps on all the boats that are out right now.
The Falcon also opens the rear so more easy access. I have the new F20 Predator. I personally rode in BassCat and don't get my wrong i liked it. But i personally couldn't tell a difference in the ride. I didnt like the livewell latches on the Lynx either.. What sold me on the Falcon F20 was the layout of the rod boxes opening like do, rocker switches so if i have any issues i can change myself and some other things that stood out. So take a look at the F20 if your looking.. It originally came down to the Skeeter FX20, Flacon F20 and the Lynx. F20 just won me over....
Love the Lynx. I was on the fence in 2017 w one and decided on a Legend V20. Probably will get a Lynx next go around but extremely hard to get outta my Legend. Great boat Ken!
Bought a bass cat back in the early 90’s after buying a skeeter. After 4 months the gel coat started cracking all over the boat and skeeter wouldn’t do anything about it. Said it was “cosmetic” and they were a pain in the ass to deal with. After buying the cat I never had to worry about customer service. They even called me 4 months after buying it to ask how it was going. That is customer service. When I’m in the market again Bass Cat is at the top of the list!
Champion has never had holes in the well lids because of this. I have been running Champs since 1995 and never had fish die due to heat. I love the Bass Cat spray bar as well. They know what gets oxygen into the water, breaking surface tension.
Serious question. How? The falcons rod boxes open straight up. Buddy is on his 4th Falcon and I have to move the rods every time I want to open a box. I can’t stand those lids. What am I missing?
@@macking4942 so your strapping them and then opening the lockers correct? Ok I watched video with B-Lat. I see it but man that makes me more nervous than opening my box lids normally. Wind blowing 20 would blow rods out boat looks like.
Layout is a key decision factor. I went with Skeeter for the layout and b/c I trusted and still trust the brand to build quality. The other boats have different layouts and the Lynx will still hold tackle in that rod area if you want. The console takes up a lot of room, I'd prolly use the center hatch for storage instead of rods....its all personal preference. Lots of brands and lots of models. I enjoyed the ride a ton and like how they really hold value. Ranger and Bass Cat from what I've seen over the years really hold value.
Hey Lou!!!good to see you on the video😁You fishing with the YOU-Tube legend from Zavala🤓.Hope to get a USED BASS CAT one day.Nice video😁Still looking to get your hat one day too😁
The best boat is the one in my garage for no other reason than it’s paid for….I’m looking forward to your search though, that’s how I found your channel in the first place.
Hell yeah. I was spending quite the amount monthly on fishing...but I also made enough to do so....still I could have made better financial decisions. We all can but if you aren't enjoying the life you want...then what's the point
I am on my 2nd Bass Cat PII its a 19'1" Boat and lacks nothing and still does 75 with the 4 Stroke. It doesn't matter if you get the very top of the line Jag or the Saber that is at the other end of the spectrum, its quality!
I rode in a p2 with a Lake Fork guide in the 90's. Was super impressed back then. This is the boat for my next purchase.buying a Rick Pierce made boat equals Quality.
Probably a while....they gonna start making all the pros boats soon and we get to see them get all new boats for the next several months while we are waiting to pay for them
Beyond The Bounds you are prob correct! Do these pro’s destroy the boats? Have seen a few for sale with the wrap’s and wonder if i should consider buying a used one?
Well considering they get top of the line electronics and proper wiring. They are good values...they just have more hours...if they have good warranty you should be fine. Motors go for any reason. Mine powerhead just blew...and I don't abuse my boat at all
Beyond The Bounds well thats true. Wonder why so many are having trouble with the power heads these days? May dad and i had 3 different boats and never had that issue, but then again this was back in the 80’s thru 90’s and probably built better just like everything else. What does it cost to replace a powerhead?
We just sold our skeeter zx250. Traded it in and got a 2021 bass cat cougar ftd. It takes some getting use to how it drives. But once you learn you’ll never switch back. Best boat I ever been in by far!
Great video seeing you and Ken Smith fishing together on tawakoni I grew up fishing that lake. Been considering a bass cat lynx since they came out and after seeing Ken review and this review a lynx will be replacing my fx21 le.
@@BeyondTheBoundsOutdoors tawakoni is coming back bass fishing kinda got bad in the early 90’s. Good luck on the boat search Phoenix and bass cat are in my top two and leaning more and more toward the lynx
Yeah what do you do when you buy a bass cat and it won't run like it's supposed to on top end and bass Cap won't stand behind it and you just spent $80,000 better watch out about buying a bass cat

Wreck Em. I bought a new Skeeter, my buddy then bought the Lynx about a year later. Wishing I would have bought a basscat after being in his boat.

Rod locker layout was a key decision factor for me too in my first boat
BassCat is way above skeeter , and about the best you can get besides ranger .
Love the Lynx. I was on the fence in 2017 w one and decided on a Legend V20.

90k boat, deck lids held on with $2 bungee cords. I've never understood a bass cats layout. They make zero sense to me
19:47 again... Another reason i went with a Falcon.. I dont worry about opening my rod lockers and all the rods flipping out.

Gonna stick with Skeeter 🦟 but it’s a nice boat

Tell Ken, the guy that wears the On'Em hat sells an Off'Em hat for the rest of us. For real. 👍
Oh that's awesome

Falcon f 205!!

Ever in Florida let’s do some fishing.
Nicely done. Love Ken's boat. You may also want to check out the new Puma STS. I put my order in this week,
Going to try as many as I can!
Where is you grow up? I grew up fishing that lake.
I’m sorry but bass cat has the worst layouts out of all the brands you can tell by Ken’s mess in his boxes it’s really embarrassing if you ask me..

What's up man thanks again for a great vid. Do you know what setback distance jack plate was and Hydraulic or manual? Thanks sir!
It was hydraulic. And was a small set back ken did a good break down on his channel about the plate ken Smith fishing

Next to the lynx those are my top picks for bass cats.
Nice!!!
Lies!!! You don’t get clean water at the transom!
I mean...mercury racing team bro...Ken don't make crap up he sources the info.
You get cleaner water nearer the transom than 18 inches behind it. The least turbulent water is right under the pad.
Skeeter. Only bass boat to buy
