The Beartooth has seen several disturbing disappearances over the years. There are cases of missing people that are never found, and not even traces of their equipment or shoes after years.
"...GPS on her phone and her (transponder satellite) device were unresponsive..." Ummm...yeah, what hardly no one is saying is; she disappeared in a known cluster area of unexplained, 'never found' disappearances. I hope she is found safe and alive. However I suspect there is more to this story that the public will never know.
The battery may have died. She may have forgotten to turn power back on in the morning. She may not have had tracking enabled (i.e. only sends location when manually checking in). Lots of possible reasons.
May she be found unhurt asap. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼Personal emergency / locator beacons & loud, emergency whistles are a must for EVERY hiker and camper. Try and make sure all your family members & friends have one.
I’m reading missing 411 LAW and I watch his videos. One thing that he is pretty sure of is that extremely intelligent people are the target of who or what is taking all of these people. And where she has disappeared from is a cluster area of several missing people. You never see people addicted to drugs/alcohol taken or country folks like myself. I’m definitely ok with NOT fitting the bill here.if you watch the new canam missing 411 video from today 7/14/21 Dave gives some very disturbing numbers of missing people from national parks. There has to be people who know what’s going on at the federal level?? If you read Dave’s work it starts to paint a very crazy/disturbing picture.

I hope she makes it out ok. Odd that she had the device but it’s not activated. Those things usually have a 30 day to 2 yr battery life.

Many people hike and camp solo. Depends on your skill and experience.
