- The San Diego Fire Department rescued a girl stuck inside the sand in Mission Beach.
First responders arrived at Mission Beach at around 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. A crowd of beachgoers watched over San Diego Fire-Rescue personnel as they dug into the sand attempting to rescue the girl stuck underneath.

Interesting. I saw a video from Brazil from 2022 showing a girl drown in a small pool that had 6 other people in it. Then a few days ago in las vegas a 56 year old woman drowned in a community pool that had multiple people in it and multiple people sitting outside of it. This one had a lifeguard that for 5 minutes or more wasn't present and didn't see the lady drowning.

i was there, she was making a hole with her friends and it collapsed trapping her. Im a little disappointed the helicopter was just recording, I thought it was a airlift smh.
@kimberlyphifer2391 A cubic foot of sand weighs around 100 pounds. Digging deep holes at the beach is extremely dangerous...

@@Winnas The City of SD probably needs to post warning signs about the hazards of tunneling and digging in the sand. Post the signs in Spanish, as well.
Oh my gosh. People! Don’t dig holes deponer than the knees of the shortest person playing in it. That’s the rule I learned after hearing about these stories!

@PorchTea I really hope something gets done. We went to Huntington Beach this past April. It blew my mind! Yall have MOUNTAINS on your beach!! That's not even fair, lol. The weather was warm and cold while the water was freezing. There was someone with a sign that said "Need Money for Wexd" 😆 I respect his honesty. I really did enjoy the beaches. ~Love from Texas
@@ZepFan4Ever I just saw this bad behavior at Oceanside Beach this past weekend ..People had their dog off leash and he almost attacked a little boy. (Not the dog or kids fault by the way)
And lots of people grown adults digging these stupid holes and drinking . How ridiculous. Me and my kids couldn't even enjoy being there because they were being super obnoxious.

Amazing! These first responders and everyone involved work efficiently and never stopped. Did you also notice after she was safely out those same men quickly filled that hole so no one else got hurt again? They had to be so tired afterwards. Bravo!

They need to start enforcing fines. Enforce it to $100-$200 fine. I was at the beach when two children in Fort Lauderdale FL were trapped. Only one made it home that day. This is getting ridiculous.

She was either buried in the sand too well, or the sand she stepped on was too hollow and collapsed underneath her.

They been saying for month DO NOT allow kids to dig large holes, over and over and over.........PARENTS PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW YOUR KIDS TO DIG HOLES PAST THE KNEE AND OR WIDE AROUND!!!!!!!!! Glad the girl is ok❤❤❤
