Answer is because those teams all realized that when there are no heavyweight fighters for him to fight he is useless. He won't stop anyone from taking runs at the star players on his team and if he goes after them later on they will decline the fight and take the powerplay if he does anything.

Reaves is a heavyweight in a non enforcer era. Lucic got slapped once by Orr and ended his heavyweight trial. Both great fighters without a doubt but never battled true heavyweights. Laraque was at the end of his career and lucic literally pleaded at the faceoff why he wouldn't fight em. Both great fighters in their own respect
