Hi Dr Kim bell my name is Tosha, I'm so lost and suffering severely from vertigo and I'm in desperate need of any help I can get. I'll start by telling you about my circumstances. About 3 years ago I woke up one day feeling light headed and dizzy at first it would come and go but over the last year anytime I would lay on the back of my head or roll over side to side I would get really dizzy I would deal with it by avoiding those positions so I wouldn't be dizzy but then a few day's ago the ent diagnosed me with bppv he recommended physical therapy I went to therapy we did the epley maneuver 2 or 3 times I left the therapist that day feeling a constant dizziness that I've never had before, before it was only certain positions I couldn't bare the constant dizziness so I went online and decided I would try the BBQ roll maneuver and of course it made me even more dizzer than I was the day before with the therapist I'm in a horrible situation constantly feeling dizzy it all started Friday now its Sunday almost Monday morning I've been taking meclizine it helps with the vomiting but not much relief of dizziness I've reached out to my Dr my ent and the therapist and they are lost for words with helping me I was told to wait it out and see if it gets better I'm terrified this is my new world any help would help me even just reaching out talking to me would help I really hope to hear from you thank you for your time

@@KimBellDPT hi Dr bell my name is Tosha I'm so lost and suffering severely from vertigo and I'm in desperate need of any help I can get. I'll start by telling you my circumstances. I woke up one day over 3 year's ago feeling dizzy and light headed I've never experienced anything like it before and I was 36 year's old at that point I recently went to my ent and he diagnosed me with bppv and recommended physical therapy I did my first session with the epley maneuver about 3or4 time's that day and went home feeling more dizziness than I've ever felt before. Before the maneuver my dizziness was only when I would lay back on my head or turn side to side so I would try and avoid lying on my head or turning side to side and I would be fine but now I'm constantly dizzy that was on a Friday then Saturday I was so dizzy I went online and saw a BBQ roll maneuver and I tried it and unfortunately it made me even more dizzer than the therapist now it's Sunday almost Monday morning and I'm still so dizzy I can't do anything besides cry I reached out to my Dr my ent and the therapist for any help my Dr prescribed meclizine 25mlg it helps with the vomiting that the dizziness is causing but not the dizziness she told me to wait it out and see if it gets better with time and that was her only advice any of them had. I'm so terrified I'm going to feel like this forever I don't know what's wrong with me and I don't know what can help if you have any thoughts or advice I would love to hear from you just talking to me would help please reach out to me I appreciate your time so much thank you

@@toshamartin2362 Hi Tosha, I am so sorry to hear about what you are going through. I know you said you went to a physical therapist, but you many find this blog helpful where I discuss how to find a Vestibular Physical Therapist: www.betterbalanceinlife.com/what-is-a-vestibular-physical-therapist/
If you are near or willing and able to travel to San Diego for treatment, you can request a consultation here: www.betterbalanceinlife.com/request-a-consultation/ and we can decide if my treatment would be a good option for you. I have many medical travelers come to me and have great results.
If you haven't already, please check out my websites vertigodetective.com/ and www.betterbalanceinlife.com/ where I offer a lot of free, helpful information in my blogs. I wish you all the best.

@tosha martin I also just wanted to add that I do not recommend looking up maneuvers online or treating yourself without a professional assessment. I do suggest you schedule to see a Vestibular Physical Therapist as soon as possible. As mentioned in the blog I posted above, you can look up a provider at vestibular.org/.
You may also need mental health support to get through this difficult time. Anxiety very commonly goes along with dizziness. Check out my blogs: vertigodetective.com/alleviate-vertigo-and-anxiety-symptoms/ and www.betterbalanceinlife.com/dizziness-and-mental-health-issues/
Also here is my blog on why you should not treat yourself for ear crystals: www.betterbalanceinlife.com/understanding-ear-crystals/
      I hope this helps!
