  • Do conditionals in English drive you crazy? They’re so easy to get mixed up! There are four conditionals in English grammar, numbered zero through three. So in this lesson I’ll give you an overview of all four, with examples of each. If you watch this video and do the quiz at www.engvid.com/learn-english-... you will have a better understanding of conditionals in English. (That last sentence is an example of the first conditional!)

      There is no such thing as a British accent. Like saying to a Chinese you have a perfect Asian accent!

      @@iain8837 indeed! As a Scot, I find references to an English accent as "British" accent both irritating and, frankly, insulting. Aside from the four countries which make up Great Britain and Northern Ireland and their distinctive accents, there are hundreds of regional accents. All different and all "British." "British" does not just mean Home Counties English. PS, love this teacher's style, could listen to her English accent all day.

    I would turn 40 in 6 months, I have been living in US for over 12 years, and I got PhD in 2014, have been working in the industry for 7+ years; and wow I am still learning. I wish I would have English teacher like you in my school days.

    Hi teacher.. just my personal opinion here, I kind of like the reduced form of the 3 conditional like without IF. For example I’d like to say “Had I not eaten so much, I would have lost weight OR Had I gone to bed earlier, I would have woken up in time to catch the train”. I hope my opinion will help other English learners know another way to use the 3rd conditional 😃

    Oh I wish the school system would go back and actually teach. This is teaching. The understanding of the construction and meaning of the English language. I loved every class I was in.. keep this coming. I bet 95% of your new pupils either don’t have a clue, or remembering when we were taught this class

    I wish I had you as my English teacher in my school days. Nevertheless, better late than never, and learning has no time limit so I am glad to listen to your teachings.
